Sue & Andy Guest's Wedding Blessing on a gorgeous summer evening at a quaint country church in Butterton, followed by a lovely reception which went on to the wee hours, sadly we had to leave early on - but not before watching Andy sing to Sue our favourite song by Ronan Keating 'When you say nothing at all' - fantastic!

We stopped off with mum to visit Will & Winnie Say, old family friends in Warminster.  A really enjoyable afternoon with them - especially listening to Will's stories of his past - He's in his 90s!  He highly recommended we visit Wells Cathedral, not too far away.  We're glad he did, as you can see from the photos, it is absolutely beautiful, the famous 'jousting knights' clock inside must be seen - it is one of the oldest clocks in the world!  The Wells Cathedral Clock - The Clock

On to Newcastle upon Tyne, where Lesley & Tim Heseltine, very kindly loaned us their house - our photos of them don't seem to have come out!  They took us to the Quayside and Paul was marvelling at the fantastic new Gateshead Millenium Bridge that has been built across the Tyne.  We had a great evening out "Doon the Toon" with Kath, Ian, Rachel, Paul and Doreen.  Paul seeing the Lasses of Newcastle at their best by the Bigg Market!  Doreen and her kids Jordan & Antoinette came over to see the Heseltine Bunnies!  We had a wonderful time seeing my good friends (adopted mum & dad!) George and Margaret Amann, especially being able to have our first round of golf with them, something we've looked forward to for years.

paulandtim.jpg (33672 bytes) Some excellent days golf were had in Scotland also, with Paul's son Tim and his now son-in-law Chris.  The course at Comrie proved to be very taxing when you're used to driving around in a buggy - I was worn out before I even got to the tee on some holes!
