| How do I order? Simply go to either the Retail or Wholesale Page, choose the cards you would like to purchase and click on the "Add to Cart" button. You can then continue shopping or proceed to checkout for secure online payment using Paypal. How do I receive my order? After payment is received into my Paypal account, I will send you an email to let you know your items are on their way. I usually use Australia Post, but depending on the item or at your request, I may use a courier company. Registered, Express and Insured mail is also available. Pick up is another option if you live in South East Queensland. What are the postage costs? Up to $50 total purchases will be charged at $2 $50 to $100 total purchases will be charged at $5. If it costs me less than what I charge you, I will send a refund with your items. What items can I get embellished with pressed flowers? Almost anything can be used except for glossy items. Glass, lacquered timber etc are not suitable. Any type of non-glossy surface eg, card and fabric can be used as long as it will have sufficient protection ie contact cover, glass or perspex. You may like to personalise your bookmarks, invitations, letter writing paper, notebooks and journals. How can I keep my cards looking like new? Ideally, pressed flowers should be kept in an acid and lignen free environment, out of damaging UV light and in an oxygen free enclosure. However, your cards will keep indefinitely if you keep them in their cellophane wrappers, in a cool, dark spot. I have cards that I made over 10 years ago that have just been kept in a drawer and they still look fine with only minimal fading. How do I use the Living Cards? All you have to do is find a nice warm spot in your garden, out of the full sun, pull the handmade paper off your card and cover with 1-2cm of soil and water gently. It is actually easier than planting seeds as they are already evenly distributed on the paper! In a week or so you will have cheery little seedlings popping up to remind you that someone cares! They truly are Living Cards!! How do you press your flowers? I use the Microfleur flower press available by clicking here. Using this Australian invention, flowers can be pressed in minutes and it keeps colours vivid and bright. Because of the speed of the drying process flowers that are usually unsuitable for pressing in the conventional way can be dried with great success. |
