| "I have met him before," she thought, as she took in the spicy aroma of the untouched potato wedges on her plate. She looked at him again. Such familiarity. Golden locks sensually swept across that clear baby blue eyes. She felt like she could swim in it forever. But it was not his obvious good looks that she felt such affinity for. It was something else. She could not pinpoint it exactly. Yet James seemed to know her so well. Fancy leaving her a note like that. How did he know where her locker was? And meeting up at Texan Embassy. How did he know it was her favourite Tex-Mex restaurant in the whole wide world? He had also talked of places and things that she had been into. Altogether there were plenty of sparks between them. So much that it was magical. If she was younger, she would have been dead smitten by him. Afterall, when she was a teenager, she had dreamt up James. But then, at sixteen, she had not met Ethan. Ethan. Images of Ethan fired in her head. Dark haired, hazel eyed Ethan. Her match. She felt a sharp pang of guilt and chided herself for even remotely fancying James. "I can't help but notice you have not touched your Chimichanga. Quite strange considering you professed it a favourite," James casually remarked. Sending his heartbreaking boyish grin her way. She felt herself warming up to him once more. But whatever affection she felt for him was quickly supplanted by feelings of disgust she felt at herself. For betraying her lost love. The one she thought she had banished from her conscious thoughts. "I am saving the best for last," she remarked as seriously as she could. Trying to keep the flirtatious tone out of her voice. Again, thoughts of Ethan filled her head. She thought she would break down. For it was emotionally draining desiring two men, at the same time. |
