| GRATITUDE & GREEDINESS Don't you go beserk when you hear that Christmas is coming? Don't you whoop and cheer and make people say, "this crazy kid's got their sugar system flowing, alright!"? Christmas. Ahhhhh. Candy canes! Stockings! Colorful, bright lights! Then....... presents! PRESENTS! PRESENTS! A child's dream come true. But what if your child or you - young or old - aren't satisfied with what you get? What if 23 presents isn't enough? What if you aren't pleased with what Santa Claus got you? Remember never to say inpolite things. Your parents must have said this before, but no matter how polite you are when you aren't really pleased with something, you always feel dissapointed inside. That's why we sometimes need to adjust to things and look on the bright side. Has your teacher ever said, "You get what you get,"? That's a simple fact. You get it, you get it. Hey! It's better than nothing! A gift should be adored. You don't get free things every day, you know. Out of all the people who celebrate Christmas, there are two types of 'Christmas-celebraters'. One is the the grateful type. The other is the greedy type. Say we do an experiment and one perso of both types recieve 6 presents. The grateful type's reaction would be, well, none other than grateful! They would say thank you and praise the giver, I'm guessing. Now the greedy type would be greedy or you could say ungrateful. They might criticize the gifts they don't like and abuse you for giving them so less things (according to their standard/opinion). You can see clearly from this experiment that gratitude and greediness are opposites and break each other's rules and properties. Let me test you. If you got a gift, should you be the grateful type or the greedy type? The answer is the grateful type. So adjust and look on the bright side and enjoy your 2003 Christmas! |
