| BEHAVIOR What do you say when someone compliments you? Thank you! What do they say when you say 'thank you!'? You're welcome! What do you say when you sneeze? Excuse me! What does someone else say when you sneeze? Bless you! What do you say then? Thank you! These important rules of politeness are called "good manners" or "good behavior". They test what kind of character you are. Other than the sport boxing or wrestling, fighting over: possesions, a better spot in line, for any other reason, or just because of a habit of pure torture are examples of a bad character or person. Okay, maybe you're fighting over food and all of you are starving to death, but then most of us are well fed and cared for, so that's a whole new story. Some of you out there may be thinking, what a waste, acting over-noble and saying thanks, thank you, and wasting your breath when you don't need to. But you need to! Well, unless you're out here to advertise yourself as a bad character. Humans invented words of good behavior like thank you and sorry so we could get along. If your aunt gave you a gameboy and you never said thank you or paid her back, think about how you would feel if you were your aunt! But mistakes like that are easy to fix if you are willing to be a nice person that everyone will like. There is another example of a bad character that takes bad behavior to the extremes. Patricide. Homicide. Robbery. Shoplifting. Kidnapping. These are some of the worst types of bad behavior. All of these are caused by bad choices and no sense of direction in the real world. Then there's suicide. I'm not sure if it counts as a bad choice, because killing yourself is your own choice, although it is largely considered a bad choices by others. It is for certain a CRAZY CRAZY choice that only people that do not understand life make. If someone chooses to do patricide, homicide, robbery, shoplifting, kidnapping, or any sort of these big bad acts, they do it when they know the costs and risks of these actions, and therfore deserve to pay. Politeness may only be one part of good behavior, but misbehavior to the extremes are part of the reason why the world can never rest in peace. |
