Communication is very crucial in the process of learning. As a result, for ages passed, schools require that the student and teacher meet face-to-face. However, with the fast pace of e-learning nowadays, an alternative solution to direct communication has been offered for the maintenance of achieving high standard of education. Thus the goal to further improve the distance education program, UPLB acquired the power of the Integrated Virtual Learning Environment. This IVLE is a system to provide students and teachers a virtual environment where both the students and teachers can interact with each other from anywhere via the internet.

The Discussion Forum is one of the three functions of the UPLB-IVLE. The forum will serve as the place where students will post his replies, comments, suggestions etc.
