After being involved in the showing and breeding of German Shepherds for 20 years, I saw my first Chinese Shar-Pei in 1985. It was love at first sight and I purchased a black horsecoat female, Changa's Tarbaby, from June Young.

Now my husband, Vern, and I are owned or co-owned by 9 Shar-Pei, 7 of whom are AKC champions. We love the loyal personality and intelligence of the Shar-Pei. They are so easy to housebreak and make wonderful family companions.
