Comments on Revelation, Chapter 9:

The Scourge of War

This chapter describes visions of

• helicopters as "locusts" (the fifth trumpet) and
• tanks as "horses" and their barrel as a "tail" which looks like a snake because of its head (the sixth trumpet).

These scourges of humanity are the result of science, which has been perverted into the technology of warfare. This destructive thinking is symbolized with the mixture of elements:

  "smoke", which consists of
fire = destruction, Satan and
 air = thinking and spirituality.

Fallen stars unleash their destructive power. Fallen stars symbolize Jews (Christians and Muslims) who have abandoned the moral principles of their religion. They have brought these disasters on humanity since our Age of Imperialism began in 1066 with the Norman conquest of Britain.

Wars are also a divine punishments symbolized by the angels who carry these scourges, but people won't learn their lessons: When a war is over they soon resume their sinful behaviour, conflicts build up, and a few decades later the next major war comes. This chapter gives no information whether the worst wars in human history are already over, or whether worse is yet to come.
