Rest in Peace our Little BHN Princess! Liz passed away Thursday 4/14/05, morning from complications from her bone marrow transplant. She caught a rare form of pneumonia that did not respond to any antibiotics. What a glorious day it was. It all started around 9:00am on Wednesday when Erika told the social worker about Liz's second wish that she had to the make a wish foundation because she probably wasn't going to get to have her first one. That was to meet Raven Simone, the star of that's so Raven. The social worker came back a couple of hours and said that Raven wanted to call us. They were in the middle of setting up our speaker phone in the room when she called and talked to everyone. She hung up and left us her personal assistants phone number to get in contact with her, then she left Liz a personal voice mail message on the cell phone. Erika's sister, Jessica, called her assistant and gave her more details on Liz's situation. Once Raven found out, she left her audition that she was in the middle of, and said that she was going to be there to meet Liz in person at 6:00pm. She got there at 6:10 and was absolutely wonderful. She stayed for about 45 minutes talking to everyone, signing autographs and getting pictures taken of her. She gave Liz an autographed photo of her and another of the entire cast of That's So Raven. As the evening progressed, the crowd thinned and we were left with My Parents, Glenn Erika, Myself and Noah. We were just all sitting around talking about Liz and praying with her. About 11:45, Dave Axe showed up with a couple of books and a CD with her favorite song on it. About 2:00am we were all gathered around Liz holding hands and just praying release her to the Lord, her heart rate started to come down during that prayer. We all then gathered around and listened to her little chest listening to her little heart beat for the last time. Once it stopped, we played her favorite song 'I can only imagine' by mercy me. We blared the song in the ICU and we all sang really loud. It's the song you might be hearing now. She went to the Lord so peacefully. It was a very glorious night. Thank you to everyone, you have all been wonderful to us whether it be verbal, financial, emotional, or just helping with the kids. We could not have done this without you, and we love you all.
