Like I had said earlier, the end of one thing is the beginning of the
other. On 03.12.2001, which is my 1st day of National Service, guess who I saw~?
Serene~! Remember who is she~? She's the
girl whom I had woo for years during my secondary school days... You can click HERE
if you wanna refresh your memory about her. 
She had look different, she's having very short hair. She was very surprised
when she saw me too. We had lost contact even since we left secondary school,
mainly because she had change her address and contacts.
You know what's the best thing~? We are actually squad-mates~! What a coincident huh~! So my NS days start of quite well huh~! Well, you're wrong~! That's what I call peace before a major disaster~! Apart from the break up that I had with Bella, there are also a lot of problems which soon arrives...
Serene is ,as per usual, a very popular gal
in the squad. Or should I say the whole academy~! What do you think~? You can
hardly find a girl that really looks like a 'girl' in the academy, needless to
say a pretty girl like Serene... Now you
gals know why guys are much more horny after their NS huh~! Ok, back to the
point. Since she's HOT in the academy, she's
bound to have a lot of admirers. And since we used to be very close in the pass,
it's normal that we're gonna be the closest person we had for the time being, as
everyone is still strangers to one another. Furthermore we had a lot to say
& ask about each other... Thus we're always seen together. Now, that brings
a lot of sore eyes~! 
Thus, history repeats itself like my secondary school days...
Some of my squad-mates disliked me as they think I'm chee hong, meaning a guy who likes to flirt with girls. Well, I'm too used to this name liao, thus I don't give a damn to anyone since I know I did nothing wrong... Furthermore I didn't talk bad about any guys when I'm talking to gals, so why hate me for that. Most of my friends, got both guys & gals hor, said it's just pure jealousy. But please, what's there to be jealous of~? *DuHzZz*
During this period, it's not Bella, we hadn't broke up then, that gave me the energy to move on. Instead, they're these strangers who later became my Buddies~! Allow me to introduce to you to them, and they are guys of O.A.6 (Official Act 6). Why the name~? Cos there're altogether 6 members in the group, and there's this law called Official Secret Act in Singapore, thus we just copy that name, just without the 'secret' as we've nothing to hide. I'm the so-call founder of this group thus I'm O.A.1.
Steve, who is O.A.2,
is my closest buddy. In fact we share the same bed, mine on top of his. He's
like me, but it's the 'me' few years back... He's so innocent, and trust me that
he's one VERY nice guy. If I'm a gal, I'll fall for him ya... *puke*
Anyway I think he's still a virgin wor~! 
Haha~!
Anyway we had the same kinda thoughts and taste, thus we click well with each
other.
Christo, who is O.A.3,
is the guy with principles. He had this mind set to doing everything to its
best. Men with honor huh~! But the bad thing is that he's very noisy, much more
incredible than me man~! You haven't see him but his voice had already settled
in your ear liao~! His nickname is "Christo Ku
Niang", and it's chanted this way, "1~2~3~4, Christo
Ku Niang". He do look like Fann Wong
when he's without his glasses, and he's quite fair too... 
Zhi Hui, who is O.A.4, is the
blur king among us. Other than that not really much liao... Oh~! He falls for
one of our officers, Rachael. You can say
she's quite a babe in the academy, where many guys fantasized. Me~? Well...
Don't be so nosy~! Anyway he is crazy over her wor... He's our logistic man in
the COY, he'll always reserved the best for her... >BLEAH<
One more thing, he's very good in his Chinese Chess, he's very
cunning so do watch out. Don't let his blur look con you~!
Lionel, who is O.A.5,
is the man of wits. Very cunning guy, someone like Raymond,
my polytechnic friend. He'll be able to kill you without you realising it~! He
likes clubbing a lot, and likes TECHNO like me~! 
But he's no Ah Beng, in fact he's one Anti-Beng...
Wei Sien, the last member O.A.6. Err... The shortest and cutest of all... His famous quote that made him popular, "I Can't Take It Anymore"~! I believed that only my squad-mates will get this joke, rite guys~? "^_^Haha~! Anyway he's quite a cheeky guy too... You'll like his accompany.
I hadn't been able to last long with Malays or Indians all my life. I'm not racist k~! However, I soon change my views as I met the best Malays & Indian in my squad. I have to say that they're the best cos not only me, but a lot of people also agrees with that. They're easy going & fun loving~! They also play part of the source of energy that help me survived thru my NS days...
Now you may asked, why are there groupings in a squad~? Well, it's only common
that you'll find that in life. Before O.A.6
was formed, there're a lot of different groups. They are the Malay
Group, which consist of the Malays & Indian. The CNB
Group, they are the more mature group as these guys had served NS
before. They are also more of the leaders of the squad. Then the Bed
Bugs, like the name given. They're the ones who normally get the
squad into trouble. They are the lazy people who likes nothing but polishing
their boots. But they have a lot of jokes to share to ease the tension during
training. However, this is the only group that don't like me, not all the
members in here though. Lastly, the Illegal Immigrants.
These people are the ones who don't belong to any of the group, either that they
are unwelcome or they just choose to be alone. Freak huh~? Well mind you cos I'm
one of these Illegal Immigrants before... 
These groups kinda always have 'war' lor, but there's no breach of peace lah...
Anyway Christo, Steve & I are always together... We yet form another group called S.C.S, Secret Communication Society. The name is form using the 1st letter of our name. For this it's secret, cos we believed that there's a spy in the squad, as our officers are very updated with all the things happening in the squad. But the spy was never caught...

Watch Out, Cos The Spidies Are Here~!
With a little knowledge of my squad-mates, I shall go back to my story with Serene. Among my squad, there's also two admirers of her. Steve and BIRD, that's what we always called him. Steve & I was cool with each other and never let Serene affect our friendship, unlike BIRD which I'll go into detail later.
Serene & I always share problems that we encounter in life. We'll even talk about Bella & her stead Jeremy, whom they had went steady for years since secondary school. Marathon huh~! As we talk, we always felt like we're going back to the past, it's really comforting. However, we didn't do anything wrong that'll hurt our steads. It's just the kinda feeling like going to rest at our bed after a long & tiring day of work. We'll really talk our hearts out. We're always there to support each other.
During my break up with Bella, a lot of people thought that it's because of Serene. I can tell you that it's not. Like I had said earlier, it's due to the lack of trust in the relationship that tear us apart. However, surprises & shocking news soon keep hitting on me one after another...
The 1st shocking news is Serene's breakup with Jeremy. They just broke off like that, without any warning. Although there's some minor problem between them, but who don't when it comes to relationship~? Due to that, we kinda console each other as we're of the same boat... Then came the 2nd shocking news... I remember that it was on our 1st ever & last so-called date. Although we had known each other for years, we never went out alone before. We went for dinner followed with a movie. Just a normal outing, the only thing is that there's no one gossiping about us, unlike in the academy where people just don't like it. Thus it's quite relaxing for us then that the usual tension we had when talking in the academy wasn't in the atmosphere.
We talked a lot, even back to our secondary school days... She did told me that
I'm like Jeremy. We always helped her in her
problems. She felt secured when we're around. There's once where I cheekily
asked her why she didn't accept me then. To my hyper surprise, she told me that
back then she don't know how to think cos she's still young, then the main thing
is that I also NEVER ask her to be my girlfriend again at the
later stage. 
I nearly fainted that moment upon hearing what she said. So she had been waiting
for me to say the words out, and I'm so stupid that I didn't noticed it then~!
All along I actually took her word that I'm only a younger brother to her, which
I shouldn't have.
All the memories then keep coming that, and I just can't get them out of my
head. Then the 3rd thing happened, it was cold in the cinema. Both of us are
shaking in the theatre, maybe it's fate huh... But then we suddenly just end up
holding hands. We were holding so tight till both our hands turn red at the end
of the show. None of us seems willing to let go. I didn't know that I'll get to
hold her hands again other than the dance that we had in our secondary school. I
kept asking myself when I got home, am I feeling something for Serene
again. After what we had been thru again & again, well I think I am. What
about her then~? From what she's trying to say & what she had done, I think
she is too... Or am I just thinking too much~?
At 1st I don't like the songs of Jay Zhou. But now due to one song, I became quite crazy for him... It's very meaningful to me, here's the song...
4th surprise soon happen~! Few days after our date, there came this news that Serene
& BIRD are actually going steady liao~!
Don't
cos I'm even more shock when I heard that. Steve
couldn't believed it too~! It's actually ok for me, although I think they're
quite impossible to be together. But It seems that Serene
had went thru a lot these years that had caused her to change. One
will change when one encounters with someone or, incidents or objects that is
important or special. You may ask why I didn't continued to woo
her like I will in the past~? Simply because I saw the change in her, she's no
longer the Serene I knew last time... She's
on a complete different person, only that she owns that same face and body...
But the problem doesn't ends here, it kinda get out of hand. Serene
kept denying to me that she don't like BIRD.
Thus she's not his girlfriend. But BIRD is
telling everyone that Serene is her
girlfriend liao. As if trying to show off, he's just like that. I don't mind
that, but what I mind is that there's one occasion where he shouted across the
barrack where his words were mend for me...
This is what he shouted, "Aiyo~! Some people really thick skin,
trying to snatch away people's girlfriend~! Other squads got people like that,
my squad also got one~!". Honestly speaking, I nearly wanna tell
him in the face that it's his girlfriend that denies it k~! But I didn't, and I
just kept quiet and pretend that I didn't hear anything. It's not that I'm
afraid of him, I'm just giving him some respect that he don't deserved... What's
worst~? Kenny, one of the person that hoped
that I'm better dead, always liked to irritate me. He'll just come to me and
say, "You got see Ah BIRD's girlfriend~?", or, "BIRD
and Serene......." But I always just hack care him. Well, he just
enjoyed doing it although I ignored his comments. At times I nearly loose my
cool, but after thinking for a while, he's not worth for me to pay for the
penalty if I break the bond that I signed.
Serene finally confessed to me after I told
her the pressure that I'd been receiving. In fact, Serene
wrote me a so-call "Do Not Disturb"
note, which I believed that it was BIRD's
idea, cos Serene won't do such a childish
thing. She was feeling quite sorry for what I had encountered too. Thus when
after everything was clear, I didn't talk to Serene
anymore. Even when my ex-classmates ask me to ask Serene
out for class gathering, I'll say that I'll not contact her...
However, I didn't hate anyone now for the way they had treated me. BIRD
act in that way only to protect his love, but I must say that it's quite hurtful
for others. As for the others, especially Kenny,
they're just protecting their friend. Thus I'm glad for BIRD
that he had such good friends. But the best thing is that some of them continues
to hate me... However I hope that there's no more misunderstanding between us, BIRD
especially. Anyway, let's just hope that everything went well for Serene
& BIRD ya~! Cheers~!
Anyway I'm sorry that I can't really put the photos of my squad-mates in here
due to some rules and regulations~!
