Location and boundaries

  • The Zamboanga Peninsula is in Southwestern Philippines. It encompasses a total land area of 18,225.8 square kilometers.
  • The region is topographically rugged, with most of the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga del Norte mountanenous. Other areas have relatively flat lands with undulating hills.
  • Rich in natural resources, the region is basically agricultural.
