Incentives

On top of the incentives granted by the Board of Investment (BOI) under E0 # 226 or the Omnibus Investment Code of 1987, the province of Basilan offers an attractive local incentives under the Provincial Investment Incentives Ordinance of 1997.

All registered enterprises shall be granted the following incentives:
  1. Exemption from the payments of Mayor's Permit, building permit and other licenses ;
  2. Exemption from paying business tax as provided for under Section 143(a) Article 2, Book II, R.A., and in accordance with the Section 18 of this Ordinance ;
  3. Exemption from the basic property tax for ;
    1. Three years for new/expansion projects worth P1M to P50M
    2. Five years for new/expansion projects over P50M and above
  4. Exemption from Tax on Transfer or Real Property Ownership for five years ;
  5. Exemption from Franchise Tax for Three (3) Years ;
  6. Exemption from Amusement Tax for Five (5) Years ;
  7. Exemption from Land Tax for Fifteen Years for Commercial Tree Plantation ;
  8. Exemption from Land Tax for Ten Years for Fruit Bearing Trees Plantation.
