I plan to implement technology in the classroom by utilizing the following tools.

COMPUTERS
-used as cognitive tools so that students will learn "with" technology rather than "from" technology

SIMULATION
-allows students to reenact events and assume roles to make decisions

WORD PROCESSOR
-encourages editing by allowing users to cut and paste and the ability to save and to return to the work later
-offers spell checkers, dictionaries, and thesauri, which aid accuracy

INTERNET TELECOLLABORATION
-provides fast, inexpensive worldwide communication and opportunity for up-to-date research

TUTORIAL
-offers a self-controlled, self-paced environment for learning
-gives students immediate feedback

MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION SOFTWARE
-combines text, audio, video, and virtual elements that help communicate complex ideas
-caters to a variety of learning styles

SPREADSHEET
-ability to manipulate large sets of data, to form mulitple calculations, and to see answers simultaneously

DRILL AND PRACTICE
-reinforces concepts and provides feedback for the student and the teacher
