| What is an Effective Classroom Teacher? |
| An effective classroom teacher is one who sees herself as a facilitator of learning. As a facilitator, orchestrator, designer, or coach, the teacher presents the conditions for learning. She helps the student develop the skills necessary to learn, understand, and interpret an appropriately differentiated curriculum. This role requires the teacher to possess skills in both her subject areas (understanding its content, the manner in which its professionals think) and in the management of learning. |
