5 years in the eastern part of Canada ( Nova Scotia and New Brunswick) as a general and vascular surgeon with special interest in Arterial and venous diseases. Trained with known authorities on the management of varicose veins.
Moved to Toronto in November 1996, where he continued to practice general and vascular surgery, including sclerotherapy, and surgery for varicose veins.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms : Lectured on the subject of aggressive and conservative management of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms in high risk patients.
Carotid artery disease : One of the first to adopt the concept of doing carotid surgery without angiogram.
Varicose Veins : Participates in workshops, and promotes the prevention of varicose veins. One of the first to start doing subfascial endoscopic perforator ligation.
Ambulatory Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery: Helped to pioneer the implementation of this protocol at the Valley Regional Hospital in 1994.
