They wanted money - so I gave it
to them. After all - it's the
only way I could possibly receive the 700,000 bucks. I wanted
to send the money via US post (after all I did have enough
monopoly money saved up) - but they wanted Western Union.
So I gave them Western Union damm it. I decided to doctor up
an old western union receipt I had using my computer and sent
them two receipts via an email attachment. (Please note: I
changed the addresses and all the numbers - nothing on the
receipts were valid.)
Actually - I first sent them a
single doctored up receipt remitting
the amount in one lump sum of $982.00 . They wrote me back
that Spanish Law prohibits a Western Union transfer over $ 500.00
USD.
They wrote:
(Dear sir i got your mail this
morning,please there is restriction in western uinon over here in
spain,so
please just go spit the money into two parts.then send i
expect the two slip today. thanks JOHN
MURAY)
I wrote back: Hi John,
I didn't realize the situation. I'll cancel the old MTCN
Number - and
split it up later on today.
They wrote me: Sir we await this information soonest. thanks John
So I broke up the money transfers
into two receipts - with different
sets of numbers on each. (See one of the receipts below.) Pretty
convincing! Actually I did give these guys an unlisted telephone
number and they were able to contact me on the phone. I told John
the following:
John, I'm going to send the money out
in two hours. And then I'll send you the control numbers and
receipts
via email immediately.."
