| Male Pony Revolution First off I'd like to introduce my new custom pony. This is Weaponmaster Blade. Blade belongs to me, as well as the drawing, so don't steal him! It's got my signature on there, so it's automatically copyrighted to me. Blade is going to be my main assistant in the Male Pony Revolution (MPR for short.). Blade's text will be light blue. What's the MPR might you ask? It's an internet revolution I'm starting to try to encourage people to write to Hasbro to get them to make Male Ponies for G3 Ponies. Blade and I want all of you Big Brother Pony lovers/collecters out there to join in the MPR! |

Briefing From Weaponmaster Blade In any given situation it is good to know a tactical solution. To start with, we need to know the problems and complications that may stand in the way of achieving our goals. The "mane" problem so far that Elfie and I have encountered is the fact that male ponies may not appeal to the target consumer, and that is to say little girls. Now here are some good points we want to stick to, and remember: 1.) Older Collectors are ALSO consumers. Hasbro gets money from them too. Plus, they know how to use e mail! 2.) Even though the trends of children today, and yesterday may be different, they still have those basic children desires. The male pony appeals to the desire of another position in the family unit. They also make for good story line when pretending with ponies. 3.) My Little Pony girls are not always necessarilly Barbie girls, so just because Ken didn't sell so well, doesn't mean male ponies can't! 4.) The love of male ponies can be shared with other My Little Pony lovers, and thus a new appreciation may grow. So there's some good points to start with. With number 1, we can make it an appoint to e mail Hasbro, and ask for male ponies. Point number 2 poses some interesting solution suggestions. Trends and styles are different, but it's human nature to like some of the same things, such as colour. Elfie plans on putting a list of male pony designs for everyone to e mail to hasbro for suggestions. This will include colours and themes. Point number 3 gives us an idea of another thing to take into consideration. People who collect certain things, or are attracted to different tastes have certain mentalities that tend to come along with that. So it's likely that little girls who love the new ponies, think in a similiar manner to the way older collectors may have thought as a child. Lastly, there is a totally new generation of pony lovers out there. Elfie encountered a girl in Toys 'R Us who said that her friend had every single pony made in the G3 pony line. Sound like anybody else you know? What the girl didn't know was that My Little Ponies is a revamped product from the 80's. We need to reach out and communcate, as well as educate our new colts. It would do very well to inform little girls about the fact that there once were male ponies, and ask if they too, would be interested in male ponies. If so, then e mail Hasbro, and let them know that the younger generation is also interested! Also keep in mind that there's lots of parents who are new to My Little Ponies. Remember that they're the ones with the checkbooks! More will be added to this page over time, hopefully including links and some rules, and a members list. Back to Mane Page |
