Harry Potter
"Ahhh" said Harry and Ron
Yes I have become one of those bazzarre, dreamers who feel that Harry Potter is a fantastic series of books.
Why?  Well anyone who reads this page will ask this question.
But anyone who has read Harry Potter would not ask this question.
Well anyone who managed to get past the first book and are at least partly into "prisoner of azkaban" would not ask this question.  Yes, it is most definitely a childrens book, but it's fantastic.  I just love it.  I used to scorn it, yes I admit, I was once, like many, an unbeliever, but I have seen the error of my ways, and you!  There is still time!   If you go now, you could still read the first four before the fifth comes out!  Go!!! NOW!!!  Buy the books!!!  You can still be saved!!!!!
Fore thos who have already discovered the joys of Harry Potter, here is a little essay of my creation.  I'm not sure what I'm going to write yet, but I shall!  Well I'll start with the books.
I feel I may need to do a few pages on old Haz Pot!
Well, book one is a kids book.  It's a very good kids book, but I really dont understand the strange adults who fell in love with this book.  It's a bit patronising really.  But still, it's fun, and Draco and Snape are both fantastically hateable, and Harry is very cute.  I have strong doubts that a boy brought up in a cupboard would really be that sweet and kind and whatever, and believe that he would probably be more indignant etc.  I do feel he is slightly prejudice against the dark side, as no one actually knows what it is in this book.  All he knows is that it killed his parents.  But for all he knows his parents could have been murderers.
Ok that is a stupid line to go down even for me.  But it is a sweet book.  But I don't really understand the touching thing.  Is it because of his Mum, or because he's all good or both?  Feel free to fill me in.
Ahh, look at little Draco.  Isn't he sweet?  Yes I know.
Yes Harry, we know you like it, just remember, it's only a broom
It's Ron.  Ahhh
Snape next to slimey things in jars.  Mmmm, interesting
Book 2 is whereit gets a little more scary.  This is the first time we hear the word "mud blood."  Though there seems to be no racial or sexual prejudice at Hogwarts, some of them don't like muggles.  This is quite a scary concept really.  The idea of people who could torture a person at the flick of a wrist with a stick of wood, who hate people who can't do this is worrying.
The thing with probabilities.  You are more likely to see something face to face than in a mirror, a reflection in some water or through a ghost.  And why Colin Creevey was wandering around watching the world through his camera is beyond most people.  As probabilities go, more people should have died.  But it is a very exciting book!  And Percy is sooo sweet.  He's been meeting a girl in private!  I doubt they were just kissing when Ginny walked in on them, but it's lovely.  And Ginny is lovely!  She's got a crush on Harry and it's adorablt.  And this is where we meet Lucius Malfoy, and he is worse than Draco and Snape put together.  You hate him straight away.  The first time I read this book I didn't realise that he was in fact the evil guy in this book.  At the time I still scorned them.  But I re-read it and realised, and think that JK Rowlings talent for characterisation is pretty unrivalled.
Well, I appear to have run out of space, so bear with me and I shall make a new page, and continue with the other two books, and hopefully get onto the film.  Hope you like the pics anyway!
