| Korea Trip: July 26, 2002 - Aug. 13, 2002 I am doing this in reverse chronological order. I posted my most recent trip to Cheju and am now posting pictures from the trip before that where I visited cities I used to live and some people I used to know. I flew into Inchun (õ) and had to stay in Seoul () for a day longer than I had planned since my luggage didn't arrive. I stayed in Samsungdong (Z) right near the city air terminal. The day after my luggage came I took the train to HongSung (ȫ,) which was the last city I lived in before I returned home. I stayed there for a couple of days and tried to visit some friends I had and find the dog I left behind. The city had changed a lot. They finished the new hospital and the Boss clothing store where OhDaeSung (뼺) worked closed. The kids I knew, who worked at the PC Bang, were also gone. In exchange though I found good cheap Hodduk (ȣ)and Yangnyum Tongdalk (.) After a couple of days I took the train all the way to JangHang (,) which is right across the harbor from Kunsan (.) I took the ferry across the bay and went to a hotel near the terminal, and then moved to a cleaner hotel near the University the next day. While I was in there I ate at Sunhang's house. Her mom makes the best food. Then she and I met Miyoung (̿) and went to a bar and watched a show where they threw bottles and lit stuff on fire. It was pretty cool. We also took a trip to Iksan (ͻ) to see Sunhang and Miyoung's school and we had some good chicken while we were there. Sunhang and I also went to "'A' Town." I then left, originally I was planning on going to namwon (,) to go to ChiliSan and hike around. The weather was getting bad so I decided to just head to Yeoso (.) I get there and called DaeChun (ڴõ) and set up a time to meet him and SongSangchul (ۻö) for some Heim Pizza. I also went to Ohdongdo (,) but there was too much rain for it be a good time. ;) I left and headed back to Seoul. I spent my last few days there shopping for souveniers in Itaewon (¿) and Insadong (λ絿.) Sunhang and I also met Sojin () who had moved to Seoul from Kunsan to work at a hospital. Then I left a couple of days later, dreading going back to work and school the whole flight home and wondering if I would ever get back to Korea. (If you saw the pages before you know I did make it back) |

| Here I posed for a picture in the hotel in HongSung. It was probably the cleanest, cheapest, best all around hotel I stayed at on this trip. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
