MY FRIENDS

A short note. My friends have really been great. Every extra friend I've had has always re-defined friendship for me. Infact I seem to know people for a very long time before we eventually become friends. Life without friends I've learnt is boredom. They really shape my character and I really learn a lot from them. These gentlemen and ladies are my dearest. What they make me do is smile and laugh often, and leave me within the path of sanity. What do you think? I owe each of them a lot. To check my larger circle of friends, go to my Photo Archive. A few of their names - Shaibu, Innocent, Patrick, Annette, Kachi, Wofai, Esty and Eteng E, Eteng O.

Rasine OboThis is Rasine, my schoolmate and formerly church mate. One of my closest friends. He sings in one of the best choirs on campus and a brilliant youngman.

Lesson from him: Consider other people's weakness, they may not be able to do what you consider simple; especially if you're in a position of leadership to make decisions for others.

Annette ChieduI would say good first impression, good second impression and good lasting impression. What I love most - the high spirits she doesn't hide, the ever-laughing and smiling that are simply infectious, and essentially no dull moment, with a good head on top and a determination and confidence to win. I believe it's the confidence in herself and the high spirits that was the "good first impression".

Lesson from her: "Everyone loves people with integrity. They may laugh at you initially but they've got huge respect for you anyday anytime."

Stella IkangJust got fond of her. We were together in secondary school, even in the same class for the last three senior years. But it wasn't then I was fond of her, it's now. She's awesome, stylish and is a good friend. She bears the same name with my cousin, Stella(see). Infact all of her three names mean closely the same thing - Star Sun Light. We're in the same university now.

Lesson from her: Everyone is unique. Judge them by their own actions and performance, and not by a general ideology.

Bassey ArchibongI attended the same secondary school with Bassey. A very brilliant guy and very enthusiastic too. He is studying to work in the medical field now.

Lesson from him: "God works in mysterious ways". What may be happening to you might turn out to be real perfect good.

Emmanuel OkotieOne friend that has the charm to make my day, and it's just once a week - on Sunday. His name is Emmanuel

Lesson from him: "Greatness does not arrive in a day, but it begins in one day - the day you realize the potential of greatness in you".
