Hey again,
Sorry I had to leave abruptly that day. But Godfrey, Aye and I were meeting the others for dinner and we had to rush out. The others went shopping after our beach trip. David needed to buy some shoes so they went to Downtown. We came back home to wash up and rest. The whole day was pretty relaxing. After we swam for a while, we had a little picnic. We ate and talked and I tanned myself for a while too! Haha...I know!!! I don't need to tan but I just look weird. My legs, arms and face are tanned while the rest of my body is still pretty fair. My sisters thought I was crazy! They don't want to get tanned and there I was napping a bit under the sun. I've never lay down on the beach with my eyes closed. I put a hat on cuz it was way too bright even with sunglasses so it was ideal for napping. The sun wasn't too hot and the breeze was cool and you could hear the waves. It was awesome. We walked around on the beach some more before we headed back.
After dinner, David called his friends so they came for a while and talked. It was quite funny. We walked home after dinner and a big bug flew into Godfrey. And we all thought it was gone. So we got home and it has been for about 20 or 30 minutes, we were just talking and he turned around. There was a big beetle on his back, the ones that are like in "The Mummy!!" We couldn't get it off so we asked Godfrey to take off his shirt and while we were trying to get the shirt off, David's friends came in. They were a bit shocked and confused. LOL. So Godfrey was just standing there half naked and he was talking to the guys. The guys are pretty cool but Steven wasn't too nice. I think Phil and Jun-Hoon wanted to come to the beach with us that day but Steven took them to Peace Harbor instead. They also slept the entire day the day before so I thought that was pretty funny. We were walking everywhere the entire day while they slept. They must have been pretty tired.
On Sunday, we went shopping on Newbury Street and then went to Downtown. But I don't know why. I was pretty tired that afternoon. I was fine for the first couple of days and then it hit me, I guess. I didn't want to try on any clothes and I wasn't really into it. But I got a few clothes. David had told his friends about this store in Downtown that had really cheap prices for all the good clothes and accessories. They have no defects whatsoever but they are very cheap anyway. So they went there and spent like 3 hours in one store! We went there for about 10 minutes but we had to leave. We were meeting Godfrey for the fireworks. We went to the Cambridge side right next to MIT. There were already a lot of people when we got there. It was already around 7 but we got a really good spot. Lynn and Godfrey knew where to get the place. We settled down right next to the Charles River near the Harvard Bridge. We passed the time by goofing around and talking and singing. That was fun. David's friends wanted to be with us too but Steven took them to this bbq party on a rooftop. There was a pre-show around 10 when they fired some fireworks. But the real show started at 10:30. It was AMAZING! The fireworks were shot off from a boat in the river right in front of us. The boat was closer to the other shore but the fireworks seemed like they were showering onto us. All of them exploded right in front of us in the sky. It was beautiful. I loved the showers of gold sparkles that looked like waterfalls. Everyone was ooh-ing and aww-ing. I loved it. They really do have an awesome 4th of July show. Boston is known for the fireworks. Afterwards, we decided to walk back home. It was only 20 minutes away. There were so many people and everyone had little bags and stuff and we were crossing the bridge that was closed off cuz of this show. It was really fun cuz the pedestrians had the right of way most of the time. I was starving by the time we got home. So I washed up and we made some delicious Burmese food. We talked and ate and it was almost close to 1am.
Yesterday was definitely a lazy day. It was raining most of the afternoon so we stayed in and played LOTR monopoly. We were gonna come back home yesterday morning to get back here by late afternoon. But we were enjoying ourselves so we decided to stay a day more. Phil and Jun-Hoon were pretty nice about it. They didn't mind it so I thought that was nice of them. For us though, we were cooking and talking and just chllling. It's been a while since the 4 of us sisters were together. It was back in November for Thanksgiving. So we were having a fun time together. David and Ko Wai (Godfrey)are really funny too so they could join us in goofing off. We're all on the same mind set so it works out pretty well. I was definitely sad to leave last night. We left around 9 and the traffic was pretty nice. Wynn and I talked for a while in the car but she got a bit sick so she tried to rest. David was sleeping to get ready for his driving shift. So I talked to the guys for a while. One of the questions was quite direct and I was a little taken back. But all in all, the conversation was quite nice. All of them went to TJ High School and went to UVA together. They've been together for a long time. I was sorta envying them for that. All of their friends from TJ went to UVA so the whole group was together. Some even came from elementary school together. That's way back. I thought that was cool. But now, Phil is going back to UVA for grad school while Jun-Hoon and David go to CA. We switched drivers around 11:30ish and till around 3, Dav drove. Phil was sleeping most of the time and all 4 of us were talking. I had my eyes closed but I was talking and listening. The conversation was pretty interesting. For about half of the time while David drove, I was sitting on the side but the rest of the time, I sat in the middle. When I was in the middle, it was kinda hard to fall asleep cuz I'd be leaning to either side and that'd make the other person really uncomfortable with an extra weight on their arm for a few hours. They would be in pain later so I tried not to fall asleep but there were times when I was drifting off a bit and leaning to one side and then I would have to shift my body again. So it was hard for me to sleep. When we switched drivers again, I had to wake myself up. Phil was driving now and everybody else was sleeping. I felt bad and at the same time, I was hungry so I ate some chips and tried to keep him awake. We talked for a while and then Jun-Hoon woke up a bit later and he joined us in our conversation. It was around 5 when we got back. They sent us home and after goodbye's and all, they drove off. Wynn and I dropped everything in the corridor and went to our rooms to sleep. It was definitely straining for me cuz I didn't sleep at all in the car. But I didn't sleep that much. I got up around 11:30 and since then I've been feeling quite strange. Haha... I feel like I have jet-lag or something. My muscles are tensed a bit so I've just been stretching and stuff. I was supposed to hang out with Ali and Carolina today. We went to watch Spiderman-2 with Malcolm last Wednesday (which I have to say is awesome! I loved it more than the first one. And you guessed it. I did cry...! What? It was very touching. *wink*) but Carolina couldn't really stay after the movie and we haven't really hung out in about 2 weeks. Today was the only free day. Cuz I have my orientation the next 2 and a half days and then I'm going up to New York this weekend. I just never have free time, huh? But I seem to be free after that, apart from work. Taking some time off from work is really nice. I'm loving it. I'm nervous about the orientation though. It's tomorrow!!! Eeek! But anyway, talk to you later. I hope to hang out with you soon. Give me a call whenever and we'll plan something. Tootles now!
