So sorry about the long long wait you had to do!! I've been busy a bit and lazy as well. I didn't want to do anything but waste time! LOL! I think I deserve that, right? *wink* It's been so long since I last wrote in here. A lot of things have happened and hopefully I can remember them...:P
It's 3rd quarter but the workload hasn't been lifted yet. We still have tons of work but I'm pretty surprised and a bit annoyed that my grades are better than the first semester. They don't even really matter anymore and I have better grades! Haha...oh well! It's all good! Oh yeah, Bio field trip! Yeah, we were supposed to go watch an Open-Heart Surgery so we all went to INOVA hospital. Turned out that the patient cancelled the surgery so we didn't get to see anything. We ended up listening to the nurse talk about heart disease and taking quizzes!! For 3 hrs!!! UGH! But there was a trauma case while we were there. They had to do a splenectomy, which is to take out the spleen to stop the blood clots to save the victim's life. We got to see the operation for about 20 minutes because they had a miscommunication whether the patient's family had given us permission to watch it or not. But they rushed us out when they realized it. But what we saw was incredible. We got to see the intestines, stomach, spleen, liver, heart, everything! We even saw the thick layer of fat (adipose) tissue because the patient was big and fat. It was so cool to watch everything in the dome - we were watching from above. The other class who had gone there 2 days before us got to see the bypass though. They said it was really interesting and cool! I was so excited about it. But Mrs. Thomas said our class will go again in June cuz we didn't get to see it. So that means we get to see 2 different surgeries! ^_^ Hehe...I'm crazy! Well, I'm proud to be a Bio nerd! You should see me in TOK. I keep drawing all these diagrams of the digestive tract, the villi (the intestinal lining) and the cross-section of a plant root!!! HAHA! Ify and Meriem were laughing at me. *shaking head* :P I like it though.
Last weekend, I went shopping for all the birthday presents!!! My mom's birthday was this past Wednesday, the 25th which we celebrated just by ourselves. Aye's birthday is this Thursday, the 4th; Wynn's is Friday, the 5th; and my dad's is the 6th!!! AHHHH!!! All the birthdays! I'm bankrupt now - in my wallet! Hehe! But it was fun shopping though. I had to buy some for myself as well and the Cinnabon was VERY tempting! I couldn't resist! :P We also had a Special Olympics tournament last Sunday. That took the whole day but it didn't seem like much until I came home and had to do tons of hw!! Our team lost one game and won one so now we're not qualified for the state's game anymore. We needed to win both. But they played well and I'm proud of them. They've improved a lot too. It was just that they had to play against really good teams and play full-court too. So now S.O. b-ball is over. No more practices but track will start in a while, I think. I'm gonna miss the team next year!! *sniff sniff* I hope there'd be people to take our places cuz right now 4 of the 5 assistant coaches are seniors! Sigh...I hope it will keep on going.
Ohh...a new Westlife video and song called "Obvious" came out too this week. It's sooo good and sooo cute! The song is soo good but the video is even better!!! Of course, I watched it like a million times! Haha...probably why I got a huge headache the next day! LOL! Nah, it was definitely the Bio hw!! *wink* But I love the video!! Mark Feehily looks sooo cute! Haha...I won't just use his first name! Kian looks cute too. I don't really like his new hairstyle though. Of course, Nicky looks ravishing as always. But Mark (Feehily) is just gahhh! LOL. Haven't seen him in a long time and it was breathtaking. His resemblance to someone is a bit surprising though but I don't mind. *blush* HAHA...it's NOTHING!!!!!!!!! NOTHING, I tell you.
So yesterday was AWESOME! After school I stayed and talked with my friends and we were the last to leave! Haha...we're always the last to leave. Others just rush out the door right after the bell rings. Since no one was going to Shrevewood, I didn't go either. Ahhh!! I'm soo bad! Well, I wanted to but then Meriem and Carla said that all the 15 kids would be climbing onto me!!! AHHH!! LOL...but it is a scary thought! I remember when I had to push 8 kids on the swings. It was HECTIC! I never want to put myself through that again! Haha...anyway, Ali had to go to Band Buddies so she left and Carla, Meriem and I went to Borders. I KNOW, we're geeks! Well, Carla needed to buy a book for English and even though I protested, I went along with them. But it wasn't bad at all. After she got her book, we picked up some magazines and flipped through them at the little caf�. All the mags were of prom or hairstyles - all the teen magazines! Can't wait for prom!! Only 2 and a half more months! It'd be great! But I looked through a wedding mag too. Haha..don't freak! I was thinking of Lynn's wedding. She's getting married next year so I was looking at the wedding dresses and the bridesmaid gowns. Some were sooo pretty but others were quite "interesting!" LOL. I didn't find any prom dress that I liked though. But it was just fun looking thru them and talking. Time flew by so fast. 2 hrs had already passed so we left and at the exit, there were girl scouts selling cookies!!! I wanted to buy some but I only had $3 in my wallet but it turned out that each box was exactly $3. Just my luck, huh? So I cleaned out my wallet. I really need to go to the bank!! :P
So I came home and watched some TV and ate some food. Ali called me a while later and I headed out to her house. We couldn't decide what to do and our brains were not working!! LOL! So we just chilled in her room and talked and time just flew by again. It was almost 8 and I was starving. We went out to Vienna and went to "Noodles." The food was great but some of it was spicy! We were just gulping down the drinks. I'm so ashamed! :( I'm Burmese and I should be able to handle spicy food. And it wasn't even THAT spicy. Yet, I was huffing and crying! Haha...a little exaggeration! We talked till it was closing time. The people that worked there were eyeing us, wondering when we would leave! Haha...we were almost the last to leave. But it doesn't matter. It was a nice place to chill. We went back to Ali's house and talked some more. We were trying to plan something for Spring Break. I don't know about that idea though! *wink* And then she told me a freaky true story and I got chills!! It was about a haunted hospital and now Stephen King is making a mini-series out of it. AHHH!! I'm so NOT watching it! I was a bit scared coming home too. NEVER EVER talk about ghosts at night!! AHH!
Right now, I'm cleaning my room and just catching up with things that I've been putting off for a while. It's nice to have some free time every once in a while. So I'll talk to you soon, hopefully! If I'm not too lazy or busy! All my sisters are coming back on Thursday so I really can't wait!!! *shriek* Haha...bye now!
