'Tis been long since last we spoke. Where has the time gone? Yeah...time goes by pretty fast. But I have been quite busy. Last week was a killer. I had 3 exams and 2 lab quizzes and other stuff. I was soooo drained. I was just mentally tired. More of that kind of week will come in the future. Not looking forward to midterms. Eek! And the worse thing was a lot of Hensley people didn't have any exams so they were having fun while I had to study. Emily and I were good though. She and I were supporting each other. We went to the library and did our work. She's the best! *wink*
I went home that Saturday which was the 25th. I was only gonna spend a few hours at home but turns out, Lynn invited a few family friends for lunch. I was having a fun time there and getting lots of good food. I only got back to my place after 9pm. Then I was on the phone for a few more hours! :P Anna had gone to her aunt's house in Vienna for the night. I got bored as soon as I got off the phone. (Oh, yeah, the phone convos were...haha...very strange! *wink*) So I went to talk to Emily downstairs for a while. She had to get up early the next day so she went to bed around midnight. So I came back up and found the guys in John's room chilling. I played darts with Eric from the first floor for 2 hours!!! That was fun! But the next day, my right arm was all sore. Haha...my workouts! :D We were extremely good at one point and the next game, we were throwing the darts all over the room. LOL. We were like that the whole time. And then John put "Sandlot" dvd in and we ended up watching it till after 4am! I've seen that a million times before but it was kinda fun to watch it. I don't know what I was thinking. But I found out that the little kid that played Scotty was in U-571!! I think he was Trigger or Rabbit, not too sure. I was excited to make a connection. Haha.
Ali and Arash came to visit me the next day. Carla couldn't make it. We went to this Thai restaurant around the corner and had lunch. Ali and I couldn't believe that Arash had never had Thai!! We ordered all the good stuff for him to try. It was the first time I went there so I was very happy that the food was awesome and quite cheap. The place was nicely decorated inside too. Oh yeah, they had different colors of orchids on the tables. We had a yellow orchid and I asked Arash to change it to purple for me. As he was getting the vase from another table, the waiter saw him. That was awkward for him but we were laughing! LOL. Fun stuff. Afterwards, we came back to my room and I showed Arash around. Actually, Ali was doing the tour since I was busy talking to my hallmates!! Haha. Arash loved the place too so I was like oh yeah! :)
And like I said, last week was crazy but people were nice enough to leave me mssgs on AIM that left me smiling. Thanks guys! So I was ecstatic on Friday to finish my Chem lab in 30 minutes!!! Oh yeah! I came back and I just crashed on my bed. I was sooo tired. After resting for a bit, Anna and I went grocery shopping for that night's cooking party. Well...she and I cooked. Emily was supposed to but she had our crew friends over so she had to entertain them. She made delicious cookies though! Hehe...I'm not saying bad things about you, Em! :D You're the best, remember?? *wink* But yeah, we made Broccoli and Chicken Alfredo with Fettucini. We had garlic bread too. Everybody came to eat. It was just a party in the lounge. I was tired though. I was just lying on the couch and I was planning to just stay in. People were gonna go to a Frat party but they didn't cuz there were tons of cops in the city due to the IMF meetings in DC. So yeah, the whole campus was blocked off for the weekend and tons of cops roaming around. Scared a lot of college kids! LOL. But anyway, so I was just resting and Sara from down the hall and Anna wanted to go check out this band called "2 Skinny Dorks" at the Pub. I didn't want to but they kinda dragged me there. The Pub is like less than 2 minutes walk away and I was just being lazy. Turns out that the band was really good. It was actually 3 guys so I dunno about the name. The lead singer was hot and all the girls were like ooh. Haha. The music was really good too. It made me think of our little concerts at Marshall - Bands & BBQ and Rank&Festivals. *pout* I actually missed Vicious Cycle's cover of It's My Life cuz this band used that cool little instrument Matt used to distort his voice. VC should come play here!! That'd be awesome. And after saying to myself that I wouldn't get coffee, I ended up getting a free cup of Hazelnut Cappacino. Hehe. So you guessed it. I was all hypered-up. We came back and Anna and I played Outburst with Emily and her cool crew friend Sarah (not to be mistaken with Sara). Afterwards, we came back to our room for some girl-talk. Haha...lots of girl-talks this past week and this weekend. But it was really fun.
We were supposed to go clubbing Sat night cuz I got some free invitations from this guy in my Bio class. Turns out, you have to be over 21 to enter on Sat nights. And since there was a huge storm earlier in the night and we were all lazy, Anna, Emily and I ordered some Chinese and watched some movies. But we did go out this weekend. We went into Georgetown to watch "Shark Tale" on Sunday night. We're such rebels!! Haha. It was sooo funny. People compare it to Finding Nemo but you can't cuz it's different. Nemo was cute, this was just funny. We didn't get back till after 11pm. We're sooo bad! Haha. Yup! *wink* I also hung out with a friend of mine from CI (orientation) on Sunday. We went to this Block Party which wasn't very much of a party but we got free Starbucks coffee. I wasn't gonna drink it since it was a Sunday and I should stay away from caffeine but it was free and I couldn't refuse. The guy who was giving them out said that too! Haha. And we went to lunch at the Thai place and I had to get Thai Ice Tea!! And that night after Shark Tale, I got a mocha blast. So that night, I couldn't sleep till around 4am!! Haha...served me right! But luckily, I didn't have class till 11:10pm the next morning so it was ok. See, I'm not THAT stupid! I managed to get a late class on Mondays to make up for my crazy weekend behavior!! Hehe. :P
So yup, that's my update! Ya know, I go into soo much detail when I write this. But ya know what? It's better that way. Cuz I can always come back and read these and remember exactly what happened. It takes a while to write it but I can always refer to these. So it's all good. I just don't know how you guys can read these entries. They're so long and I'm so long-winded! Haha. Love you guyz!!! I hope to see you guys at the Homecoming football game this Friday. I don't have a fall break but I'll be in Vienna this weekend. Come visit me if you can on Monday and Tuesday.
