HEYYYYYYYY!!!

WOW, it's been a MONTH!!! That's crazy! I've been neglecting my duties as a website owner. Tsk tsk. I have been busy though. If not exams, classes and work, it's fun things and parties. I can't believe it's been a month though. So much to update then. I don't think I even remember much of the things that happened. I just read my last entry and those things seem soo long ago. Time is so unique.
Homecoming was a BLAST!! I didn't think that many people from 04 would show up and I was definitely surprised. In the past, it's just 4 or 5 people but whoa, this year, it was about 75% of our class!! I was amazed by the turnout. Football sucked like always but I heard that they had won 2 games before HC so I guess it's getting better. I think our class is the jinx. Cuz there were so many of us there, we lost. I got there pretty early. I got there before the start of the game. Ali was already there with her bandmates. It was soooooo weird taking the same route driving to school and going into the parking lot. And then I saw all these little girls dressed up and lots of make-up and I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone!! Where was I?? Turns out they were the Freshman girls...gosh! What's happening to this society??? But anyway, people didn't show up till after 8...I guess they were trying to be "cool." LOL. Of course, I was dancing around with the band and so was Ali. It just felt like it was our senior year again - the best year ever! I remember last year this time. I was worrying about college applications so much. And working in Admissions now really make me realize about things. I feel sorry for all the seniors that call in to make sure we've received their transcripts and applications. And it's funny how teachers and counselors care so much about sealing envelopes and signing them and taping them up and making things "official." In our Admissions Office, we get mail, we rip those envelopes open and just care only about what's in it. We don't care about "sealed" envelopes! ANYWAY...how did I get on this subject?? Yeah, so HC...after the game, we HAD to go to Chilis for dessert. Of course, I gulped down the Molten Chocolate Cake. Mmm...why do they make it soo good? It was really good to catch up with everybody too. But of course, most of them are from UVA. *shaking head* But they say they don't see each other that much. Hard to believe but I guess it's true. And even though I technically didn't have a Fall Break, I made it happen for me. Ali and Julia came to visit that Monday (They tried to get me lost in the city by taking me everywhere, taking left up here and right up here. We were laughing like crazy - I think we looked drunk - yeah, drunk on life!!! I knew exactly where I was. *shaking head* Finally, we ended up at a Greek restaurant for dinner. LOL.) and Aye came to visit on Tuesday and those were definitely fun. Lotz of talking and laughs...
The next weekend (Oct 15-17) was parents' weekend here at G-Dub. And it was weird to see all these adults walking around the campus but I missed my parents. I wished they were there. But my Daddy was coming back from Thailand that Saturday night after being away for work for 3 months!! I was definitely excited about that. Friday night...we walked around DC at midnight. Anna's friend, Arif, took us to this restaurant at Dupont Circle and we had dessert there. And he told the waitress that it was Anna's birthday but she thought it was mine. So 5 waiters & waitresses sang the birthday song for me. It's quite weird when people are singing that song and it's not your birthday. We walked to the White House later and we were at the fence admiring the building and talking crazy talk, not realizing that there were an officer behind us! Well, I saw him but the others didn't. So we chatted this officer up. He's only 23 just out of the marines and making $60,000!! Secret Service Officer David was HOT! Haha. *wink* But only in DC can you go see the White House and marvel the Monument and talk to the Secret Service at midnight out on a walk! I love it. I wish I could share the experience with you guys. But anyway, Saturday was OctoberFest here. We carved pumpkins (my first!), took hayrides (so much fun!), played games, ate good pies, took pix. It was really fun until it started pouring around 5 and we all had to run inside. We finished carving the pumpkins in the kitchen downstairs and then it was our little surprise. Anna's bf came to surprise her from Tennessee! She knew there was a surprise but she didn't expect that and she was like on the floor in disbelief. We were all smiling to see the lovebirds. And then I had to leave. I had to go home before my dad got home. He arrived half an hour after I got back. It was soooo nice to see him!!! I missed him. He brought back lotz of stuff for us too. It was just nice to have him back cuz we'd been worrying about him while he was in Thailand. We (my parents and I) cuddled up and watched movies together that night. I love it. I had to show him my room the next day. He was amazed by all the things I have. Oh, one more thing, not only do we get free cable, we get HBO and Showtime too!!! So that's where all my money is going to! I didn't find out till a couple weeks ago. We're soo spoiled.
The next weekend (Oct 22-24) was CultureFest at UVA. I went home late Friday night after spending the night with my hallmates watching Mean Girls (lotz of fun). I'd seen it before but it was still funny - unrealistic but funny. And we got up early to leave for UVA the next morning and got there around 8:30am. We were only gonna watch the show for a while and then go have lunch and come back home but we ended up staying for the whole show till after 4pm. That was LONG! The performances were really good though. I was surprised to see Ify dancing and modeling in the show. I knew she was in the show but I thought it was for Step Team. I was in the 4th row and I was yelling, "GO IFY!!" Haha. I got vids of all the cool dance performances. It was a lot of fun. You UVA kids didn't even show up!! I'm disappointed. Aye came back with us to spend some time with our dad. And of course, more movies and cuddling. Aye and I also watched this Korean movie "Windstruck" and it was one of the funniest and the saddest movie ever. We were laughing like crazy. Aye even fell off the couch!! We had to take a 5-minute break in between cuz we couldn't stop laughing. Aye was coughing like crazy too cuz she was a little sick that weekend. And as soon as we played it again, we laughed some more. And then it got soooo sad and I was crying like crazy. Ohh...it just played with my emotions! The fluctuations in emotion...
So after that weekend, I decided to stay at GW till Thanksgiving since I haven't been here much and I need to somewhat disconnect myself from home. So last weekend, I stayed here and celebrated Halloween with my hallmates. We went to watch "Shall We Dance" at Union Station Friday, went shopping at Pentagon City on Saturday (I've never been there before which is crazy since I live so near to it! But it's like Tysons I and II combined. I will go back there soon!) and also took a late night trip to Walmart in Alexandria! Eric has a car here and someone said we should go to Walmart (might have been him) and Anna LOVES Walmart. So it was around 11pm when Grant from downstairs, Eric, Anna and I decided to embark on this wonderful adventure in search of Walmart. We got a little lost but we got there. The road trip was even better with Grant's music selection!! When we finally got there, we only had about half hour before it was closing. We didn't even buy much. Grant was looking for a shirt for his Wolverine costume and the guys bought some food. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that earlier in the evening, John from across the hall, tried to straighten his hair for a costume party. He wanted to be Joe Dirt. Mind you, he has very curly red hair. So Anna and Diana from downstairs tried to straighten out his hair while he was screaming and yelling saying it hurts. It does NOT hurt. He was just being a baby. And everybody came to watch it and all the guys were laughing like crazy! After we got back from Walmart, Anna gave a Cosmo lecture which was very interesting. Haha. She reads her Cosmos!
Finally, the day we were waiting for came. It was Halloween! (Loved the Daylight Savings too!!) That night, we all got dressed up. Anna was a southern girl. She was doing the whole Southern accent which was awesome. She normally doesn't have an accent. Emily was a cowgirl. Anna from next door was someone from Napoleon Dynamite. There's so much talk about that and I don't even know what that movie is all about! Sara was 80s chick. Grant was Wolverine and best part, Eric was a girl!!!! We dressed him up in this little black dress and Anna did his make-up and we put clips in his blond hair. And a little shoulder bag for him to carry. Amazingly gorgeous!! I was Catwoman. I didn't know I was gonna be that until the day before when I got my long black gloves. I love my gloves! They're beautiful! So I was dressed in all black with my black boots and my black gloves and I made little cat ears. Anna did my eye make-up and I had a chain belt. As soon as I was all dressed up, I was in character, well, somewhat! I wanted to use my kickboxing skills. LOL. Grant helped me with that. There's a picture of me kicking Wolverine which looks sooo good! It was funny when we took that pic. Anna was taking a while taking the picture and we were holding our pose and after a while, I was trying hard to keep myself balanced and in the picture, there's me being all into the "fight" and Grant is there laughing!! I'll try to put those pix up soon. But ImageStation is gonna be charging me money or something so I have to find someplace else for pix and Community Webshot thing seems to be the place. But I really love ImageStation a lot better. So I dunno yet. We walked around Georgetown for a few hours and it was jam-packed. The funniest thing was that people actually thought Eric was a girl!!! We made him walk a little further ahead of us and we heard all these whispers like "Oh my god, it's a boy!" or "Look, that's a guy!" and we were laughing hysterically. Grant was with us and he would yell, "Is that a dude?? In a dress???" And people who had already passed Eric would take a double look and realize that it's a guy. We even heard one guy whisper, "Serious?" We all laughed uncontrollably. It was soo much fun! Eric loved the attention too. We even passed a transvestite and he/she was comparing their boobs. Yeah, Eric(a) had boobs! The transvestite was like "Honey, at least I shaved for the occasion!" HILARIOUS! More Hensley people joined us later. Endrit was Statue of Liberty, Liz was Tinkle Bell, Laura was dressed as a Swedish girl, and I'm not too sure what Andrew was. He was dressed really nicely though. But since there were tons of people, we had to make a human chain and that was fun! *wink* Hehe.
That's only the things during the weekends!! So many fun things happen here. One interesting thing that happened this week was Andrew shaving his head cuz he lost a bet! LOL. Such a spectacle. We all took pix and everybody came to see it. And it was done past midnight one night. Oh yeah, OC premier last night too. There were about 7 girls watching it and then Grant. He was already watching TV in the lounge and we all kinda took over. He watched it with us and was so lost but I think he liked it. Haha. But Ryan needs to cut his hair!!! He looks so bad with that long hair. So yup, I think I'm gonna conclude here. This entry is too long now! But one more thing...I have to mention that I LOVE Bio labs!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to it every week. Yup! :P Peace.
