Hi guys,

Wow, it has been soooo long since I was here. I have so many things to update. I don't even seem to remember all the things that happened. Well, I gotta say that those 2 last weeks of summer were amazing!! Did sooo many things and had so much fun. People had to leave for college and that was sad. But nevertheless, this summer has been a memorable one, good and bad. Let me fill you in on some of the things that happened.
Ali left for school on the 18th so Carolina and I hung out with her a lot. And it was definitely sad to say goodbye. I mean it's not really goodbye and all but it was really emotional. She was really homesick though. So Carolina and I visited her at Mary Washington that Saturday and we took her off campus. We went into Old Town and checked out the stores and everything. Some of the stuff were cool but some, I thought, were a bit creepy. There was a storm going on so we had to run in the rain. After lunch, we thought it'd be ok to step out since we had umbrellas. We stepped right into the rain and we understood why everybody else was waiting under shelter. The rain came from everywhere and thanks to my very good friends, I was half soaked! Grrr. LOL. And getting lost...none of us had a map and we were going around town but apparently, making all the right turns would lead you back to Mary Washington. And we were way outside the vicinity of the school. That was definitely fun.
Lynn came back from Boston that week too so we were visiting places and going everywhere almost everyday. That day at the Burmese monastery was definitely memorable. Stop it, Ma Aye!! Hehe... It was like the most important event ever so we saw the most number of Burmese people there. And all the good food and good songs and the good people! That was fun. It was quite weird there though. We knew the songs but we didn't know who sings them or the songs' titles so they would say which song they're gonna sing next and we'd be like ok. And then the music would come on and we'd be like I love this song! Haha. I also got to hang out with the UVA people, Carolina and Julia the morning before we left so that was nice. We all met up for breakfast down at this Original Pancake House in Falls Church. That was where we ate with Ali too. It's really cozy there.
So now, here I am at George Washington Univ. I moved in here on Saturday, the 28th. My classes start tomorrow which I am quite excited and nervous about. I'm gonna be taking Bio, Chem, Chinese, Cardio Kickboxing ( Carla!), and Sociology. It's gonna be hardwork and fun. But I can definitely wait for them to start. Free time is all good. :) I have a HUGE room with AC, microwave and a fridge. I share the room with my roommate, Anna, who's pretty cool. She's from Tennessee and we get along fine and we're always hanging out together. We share a bathroom with 2 girls next door. One of them is always out and another one, also Anna, is from Maryland near Baltimore. She hangs out with us too. Our hall is a Co-ed so there are guys in front of us. One of them, Andrew, is from Springfield, VA and he hangs with us too. So it's usually the 4 of us and some extras. It has been fun going around. We're all on Mount Vernon campus which is 15 minutes away from the main campus by shuttle during the day time. With no traffic, it's 7 minutes. This campus is tranquil and really pretty. I'm so glad I got placed here. Lots of hills though so I guess I'm not getting my freshman 15. I think I got that during the summer!! DEFINITELY.
It's soo much fun being here. We're always doing something. I haven't slept before 3:30 for the past 3 nights! Last night, we went out to dinner. There were 11 of us from our floor. It's really nice here cuz we only have about 40 people at this hall and we really get to bond. I know almost everyone here now. But the 11 of us walked down to the WWII Memorial and it was so pretty. The fountains were all lit up and the water was cool. We sat there and talked for a while before we walked down to the Lincoln Memorial. It was so weird that I never did that when I was in Falls Church. I never really appreciated what was here in DC. We were walking down this trail that we took for the ALS Walkathon back in November. Ohh...how I miss you guys!! We were throwing around that football while we did it. That was so much fun. But the guys were really funny last night and we were all joking around. When we came back, the guys watched a movie. Anna and I went down to the lounge cuz we heard there was something fun going on. There was a group of people getting ready to play cards. There were 15 of us and we played BS which was really fun. We talked till around 1:30am and it was so much fun. But I do miss my friends a lot though. So always come visit!!! My door is always open, literally!!
Anyway, I'm trying hard to keep in touch with people and at the same time, trying to make new friends. So get on to Facebook if you can. I'm really glad GW is on it now. Well, I gotta go see what's happening tonight. Talk to you later and miss you lots!

And these miss you nights
