Age 7

One evening at about 7:00 P.M. I was watching T.V. when I had this persistent feeling I should go outside. I tried to ignore this compelling feeling, I wanted to watch T.V. but it was a very immovable feeling and I finally gave into it and went outside. As I went to go down the front porch steps I saw something red out of the corner of my eye.

My Dad had a old tractor by the side of the house and it was on fire. I ran back into the house and told my parents, luckily they put it out without incident. The fire had started from faulty wiring.

If I had not listened to that persistent feeling, it could have been much worse, the house was close enough to the tractor that if it had exploded the house would have caught fire. After this occurrence I always tried to pay more attention to those persisting feelings and not to dismiss them as nothing.

The only other experiences that happened, which I personally don't consider an experience but is all tied into what I now know to be my very extensive gifts, was me knowing when someone was going to come to visit. It was the way I would think about them it was a strong almost overpowering thought.

My oldest brother lived in Hamilton at the time and we did not see him very much, but for some reason I always knew when he was coming to visit. Sometimes he would not call and just surprise everyone, and sometimes he would call and my parents would leave it as a surprise, and for reasons unknown to me at the time, I would think about him that particular day and with-in the hour he would show up.

He and I were born on the same day - January 20 - not sure if that had anything to do with it but it was not just with my brother it would happen. Other family members such as cousins and aunts would show up unannounced and I would always think about them on that particular day also.
