| And than there was an old abandoned house on the lake deep in the woods. An eyesore to the community. I deceided to liven it up with my hand-made life-size soft sculptured dolls. It became a tourist attraction. Needless to say, the Raccoons moved in also. They came in through the chimney and played with my dolls, however I saw it as destroying them. It wasn't too long after that we deceided to have the old house burned down. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| In 1993 the fire department was called into do the job. Just minutes before the house went up in flames, we took a last look around . All of a sudden we heard noises. We found five little newborn baby Raccoons with their eyes still closed. Their mom had deserted them when she heard all the commotion and ran away. If we didn't want these babies to die, we had to take them out of their nest. Wasn't it ironic that because of the Raccoons destroying the dolls, we had the house burned down only to end up saving the Raccoons. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
