The Group was formed a few years ago by a number of Radio Amateurs mainly for contesting purposes. Its primarily a VHF/UHF oriented Group. Needless to say the operators were originaly from the Counties of Mayo, Roscommon and Galway.
As we now have a member from County Sligo maybe the name will be changed at the 2006 AGM in December!
The Group is a member of the Irish Radio Transmitters Society (IRTS).
