| In A Thousand Plateaus, Deleuze and Guattari describe rhizomatic thought as a way of disrupting modernist linear and structuralist patterns. This map of my research interests illustrates rhizomatic thought - there are lines that connect each of the nodes - and each node can be reached by following diverse paths. Some of the nodes refer to methods, such as rhizo-analysis, a method that I have been using to analyse the connections between disparate discourses in texts. Other nodes, such as the teachers as bricoleurs, represent particular beliefs that inform all the research that I undertake. The background of the rhizome is the Bird of Paradise, or Strelitzia Reginae, my favourite rhizomatic plant. The rhizome will take you to a list of my publications, and some of those publications in PDF format. |
