| There wasn't very much action in the original 90 minutes of play, hence two halves of extra time in which both teams scored. In the 112th minute Mohammed Faadl skipped past a defender in the Ismaili area, played the ball back to Khaled Bibo who buried it past Sobhy. Only minutes later did the ball go in for the exhausted Ismaili players. Saaed Moawad crossed a hanging ball into the area, which saw El Hadary fumble the ball only for Mohammed Mohsen Abu Gresha to put it into the net. Extra time was over and penalties were palyed. Emad el Nahas and Amr Fahim missed their crucial penalties and only one missed penalty from Gilberto for the Ahly crowned the Red Devils EFA champions 2002 - 2003. |
