                                  OBITUARY OF BENJAMIN HARRISON BULLOCK 


Mr. Ben H. Bullock of Carterville, IL, passed away at his home on Idaho Street at 5 PM Monday afternoon January 10,1930.
 
The deceased was born in Hardin County, TN on August 20, 1845.  He was the son of Amos and Kesiah Bullock.
At the time of his death, he was eighty-five years and 5 months of age. He had spent practically all his life in Union County having come to Illinois from Tennessee
with his widowed mother when a lad of twelve years. Mr. Bullock was united in marriage in 1865 to Nancy Jane Rice who passed away June 10, 1897.
To this union was born 4 children, all of whom survive him.
Mrs. John Howerton of Carbondale, IL, Mrs. Frank Hock and Riley Bullock of Carterville, IL
and Jeff Bullock of Centralia, IL. In 1900 he united in marriage to Mary Rendleman of Goreville, IL.
To this union one son, Earl was born who resides with his parents of Carterville, IL Mr. Bullock has been a member of the Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church for 29 years and was a devout Christian.
He had been a Mason for fifty years having joined the Chapel Hill Lodge of Wolf Creek, IL. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Bullock and two step daughters, Mrs. John and Mrs. Oscar Bird
of Goreville, IL and the children above mentioned. Also 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Notes: Nancy Jane Rice was born September 29, 1842 , (She died June 10, 1897 in age 54; 8 months and 11 days),br> He married (1) NANCY JANE RICE August 11, 1864 in Union County,IL.
