Story: In the last month of every year, a mysterious world appears in orbit around the planet. This is called Little Planet. The place is famous for the Time Stones. Amy Rose, a young hedgehog who trails Sonic asks him why he is going to Little Planet. "to race myself using the Time Stones!" When they get there they see a giant metal chain connecting the Little Planet to the mountains around Never Lake. "What the...?" Asks Sonic. Suddenly Amy is grabbed by a robot that looks like Sonic! The fiend takes her to Little Planet. Realising that Robotnik is the most likely culprit behind this kidnapping! Sonic then races after them, up the chain to the Little Planet.

Sonic CD was the first Sonic game on the Mega/SEGA CD. And the last. It is quite good. Personally I love the Special Stages.The graphics are based more on Sonic the Hedgehog than Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
