Bill Casey & Panther
Bill Casey came in with Panther not long after Ron Dean was finished speaking. I, for, one was very excited to get to see *Cat*.

Mr. Casey found Panther at an animal shelter when he was about a year and a half old. He was quite sick at the time, and that is what drew Mr. Casey to him. Initially he didn't want to take him because of his resemblance to Morris the cat and didn't want the same kind of cat. But every time he returned to the shelter, Panther would greet him and rub up against him. At some point he told the shelter he would take the cat home with him to give him the chance to get healthy.

As time went by, he had spent a lot of time with Panther and helped him almost fully recover, and by that time he decided to keep him. Over the years Panther did ads for Sears, and Purina Cat Chow. Early Edition was the first thing he came across that was pretty big for Panther.

Panther is now in retirement. His last project was "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson.

Panther seemed totally oblivious to all the attention he was receiving. There were as many flashes going off as when you would see Princess Diana step out of a car. Mr. Casey let Panther out and we got to pet him. Panther never growled or hissed at us. Never skulked or acted like he wanted to run away.

When he was brought in, he seemed a little upset to be in his carrying case and meowed quite a bit, but after Mr. Casey began to speak he quieted down.

Personally I am not a great cat lover, but there is something very special about this cat. And I'm very glad I got the chance to see him in person.
