CACHES we've HIDDEN
GILLIGANS ISLAND
As the name suggests, this is an island on the south coast. The cache is based on the American sitcom, Gilligan and the crew find a hidden treasure on their island, however the case is locked by a secret code. Crack the code and the prze is yours.
This cache is rated anywhere between a 3 or 5 star cahe. There is an element of danger associated with this cache, which the 'Rats' take no responsibilty for........ Timing is everything
WHO BROKE WHO'S NOSE
This cache started its life as a virtual cache, but to attract more people to our wonderful area I changed it to the more traditional cache. Theres plenty of ways to attack this cache, but all roads lead to the pot of gold. An easy 2.5-star cache with spectacular views of Wollongong.
AUSSIE EXPLORERS
This locationless cache is all about our pioneering forefathers.
Throughout Oz there are hundreds of plaques, statues and the like reminding us of our history. Simply find a reminder of our past and log a find. include all the usual stuff and a weblink.
ALADDIN'S CAVE
Tucked away on one of Sydneys many tributaries is this little cave. Be careful as you approach this cache as timing is important. Be sure to hide the cache as u found it and beware of muggles. Above all,
dont get wet feet.
PUZZLED SIGHTSEER
A tourists view of Wollongong. This multi-cache requires you to complete a puzzle, then visit some of the tourist attractions around Wollongong. Each site has a clue to solving the final clue. Only a geocacher will find the stash. A real brain teasing 4 star cache.
THERE SHE BLOWS
This little tourist attraction tucked away on the south coast is not too well known. Hopefully as more do this 3-step multi-cache people will realise what a spectacular area this place is. Bring a picnic and your camera and make a day of it. This is a 3.5 star cache.
STOP REVIVE SURVIVE SERIES
We took a leaf straight out of the RTA's handbook in designing these caches. What better way to 'Stop, Revive, Survive' than to stop and do a cache. These caches are hidden in popular 'rest areas' on roads leading out of Sydney. There generally only a 2-star cache.
DUECE
Our second inner city cache and as the name suggests, this cache is near a sporting venue. So bring your bat and balls as play a little 5 setter.
With the score Game, Set and Cache you have completed the grand slam.
A simple 1.5 star cache
THE GROTTO
This traditional cache is located in an area where one of the Rats grew up. Once you've done this cache and if you've got the time there are some spectacular views further to the north of this cache. To find this cache you have to know what the true meaning of a grotto is. This is a 3.5-star cache.
LOCK THE CAR GEORGE
Our one and only interstate cache. We placed this cache while we enjoyed a self-drive holiday around Victoria. This area at anytime can be screaming with tourist, so make sure you're not spotted as you complete this well worded cache. This is 2-star cache.
KEDUMBA
Situated in a part of the Blue Mountains that very few people would have ever seen. I was working in the area some years ago when I stumbled across this amazing site.
Park your car at the pearly gates and then walk the 2km's into the cache. Don't forget to bring your camera along to this cache. A 3 star cache.
TRAFFIC CONTROL SERIES
A crazy, but fun idea that I had about hiding caches. At any one time there can be 3 of these micro caches in circulation. they all have something to do with traffic control. Simply find the cache, log your visit and re-hide the cache. A 1.5-star cache.
THE CARRINGTON
A cache for the adrenalin junkies amongst us. Once you've worked out which Carrington to concentrate on, make sure you have all the necessary gear to complete the task. Bring your camera with you and enjoy this 5-star cache.

Be warned that this is not a cache for the untrained - there is an element of risk.
THE NEEDLES
This cache is set near one of Sydneys largest swimming holes and well worth a visit, but don't forget to bring a towel, the MTB or even the 4WD. A 3 star cache depending on your mode of transport.
STONE BRIDGES OF THE WORLD
Our first locationless cache is set around our pioneering forefathers. The men and woman who constructed stone bridges over gorges/ravines around the world. These engineering marvels were truly ahead of their time.
LAKE VIEWS
Our first experience at hiding a cache. This 3-star cache requires a bit of physical effort, but once you have parted with a bit of sweat the views of the Illawarra and further south are magnificent. Bring some salt for the leeches that everyone talks about.
HEIGH HO HEIGH HO - HAPPY
This cache is part of Bear-Left's Snow White & 7 dwarfs series. The cache contains all the usual goodies along with the clue to help you crack the Happily Ever After cache.

HARBOURSIDE
A true inner urban, inner city cache. Spectacular views await the finders of this cache. Thousands of people could be watching as you retrieve this cache. This a log only cache because of its size.
The cache has a higher than normal rating due to nearby surroundings........... Enjoy
LUDDENHAM MYSTERY
This is a bit of a  mystery this cache. I can't tell you too much about it, otherwise I might die of the same fate as poor old Bill.
Come and walk amongst the dead.
WALL TO WALL VIEWS
This is simple 2 star cache which offers fantastic views over a wilderness part of the Blue Mts. Enjoy the cache and then enjoy the views.
LOST IN THE CITY
A simply 2 star cache out on the Lithgow plateau. The area, known as the Lost City has evovled over thousands of years. Wind erosion has resulted in a number of rocky outcrops standing tall above everthing else.
YELLOMUDEE
Here's a simple multi-cache set in the beautiful Blue Mountains. This cache has a small formula to crack. Once you've cracked the formula the rest of the cache should fall into place. Beware there are cliffs about with no handrails so keep the kiddies well in toe..
SENWEN
The cache itself is fairly easy to find, however getting there will require a few hours driving. The area holds alot of history and can easily occupy your weekend. Camping is available with limited facilites or you could choose to visit the way Ideology
HIDDEN HIDEAWAY SERIES
This is a series of caches depicting places that the Rats love to get away to. Not all places are accessable by 2WD nor will they appeal to everyone. Come and enjoy the adventure - only if you love the outdoors.
A PATCH OF GREEN
This is a simple 2-step multi-cache designed for people on holidays. Theres nothing better than going caching while you're on holidays with the kids. This cache is set in a lovely area that's frequented by loads of people who just want to get away from it all. There is a small fee to enter this area, but its well worth it. A 2.5 star cache
THE PULPIT
Another beautiful Blue Mountains cache. This cache contrary to its name has nothing to do with religious, however make sure you stand at the Pulpit and enjoy the wonderful views.
Make sure you read all the clues and keep a firm grip on the geokiddies.
400/40
Having reached 400 finds and 40 hidden it was time for a celebration. This is a tricky little cache. WP1 will have you hunting high and low, but once you find GZ there are plenty of rewards. This is a 3 star cache
WASHINGTON, JEFFERSON, ROOSEVELT & .........
This is 1 of 3 South Oz caches the Rats have. We fell in love with this area and since there wasnt a cache for miles we thought it appropriate. You'll have to travel to high ground and then get down really low. With all this effort you'll be rewarded by the views. Hope you enjoy this easy 2 star cache.
THATS TOPS
A nice easy cache based on the theme of the Footy Show - Thats Tops, and when you see the view you'll understand why its called so.
Be sure that you're not spotted by the numerous muggles that frequent this area. Its a 2 star cache
DAM THATS BIG
Here's a simple cache for those heading out west. Not far out of Mudgee is lake Windamerre, a great spot for a bit of recreational fishing or just a good spot to relax. Simply drive as far as you can and then walk the rest.
HAY HAY ITS ........
Here's another cache in the Blue Mountains. This cache involves a bit of off-road driving and some bushwalking, but once at GZ you'll be rewarded. Atop Mt Hay and overlooking the Grose Valley this place has awesome views. A 3 star cache.
NOODLING
A simple find in the centre of South Oz. This opal rich area is full of spoil. Look up the term noodling and you'll know where to find this cache. Make sure you take a hat and some water.
Happy Noodling.
BLACKBUTT, WOOLLYBUTT, ALL-BUTT
This is a tricky little cache hidden in some urban bushland. The Rats use the area for mapping exercises so we thought it was time to share this location.
Doing a resection or triangulation is what a lost bushwalker needs to do so here's a practice run. Plotting the coordinates will get you close, if thats not close enough find the hidden coordinates in the theatre and the cache will be yours. This can be a tough cache.
HANGING ROCK
This is a postcard cache situated in the Blue Mts. This unquie rock formation attackes the keenest adrenilin junkies to it. The surrounding cliff walls certainly provide a spectacular backdrop to this awesome location. WARNING: take extreme care near these unfenced cliffs.
MOONTA'S HIMALAYAS
This is an easy virtual cache situated at the start of the Yorke Peninsula. Moonta is an old historic mining town so there is plenty rusting relics around.
Simply climb the himalayas, enjoy the views and answer the question and the cache is yours.
