| Camping This is probably our most favourite pastime. Whether we go for one night or more, theres nothing better than leaving the electrical appliances at home and camping in the great outdoors. When this pastime is coupled with our 4WD then the sky's the limit. |
| Abseiling David & Leonie have always been keen to leap off any type of pitch, whether its down a waterfall, abandon vent shafts, into caves, down canyons or off some of the many cliffs that border our hometown you never loose that fear of the edge. At the young age of 32 months Aleesha-Jayne had her first abseiling experience. She descended the 20m pitch accompanied by her father. The whole time showing the enthusiasm of someone many years her senior. |
| Caving David & Leonie both experienced caving for the first time at Bungonia State Recreational area when on an SES weekend some 7 years ago. Since that first time we have enjoyed the depths of Tuglow, Wee Jasper, Wellington and Colong caves. Never to be out done Aleesha-Jayne has her own miners lamp and helmet and has experienced the darkness of caving. |
| Bushwalking & Rogaining This is pastime that we have enjoyed recreationally and at a competitive level. When competing we're not there to win, its purely for the many places that we have been able to see. Some of the rogaines that we have entered include, the Paddy Pallin 6hr, Ecogaine, NSW Champs and Nav Shield. Recreationally we have been on a number of 2 & 3 day hikes through the Budawangs, Morong deep, the Sydney Coastal Track and the 6 Foot Track through the Blue Mountains. |
| Camp Quality Leonie first got involved with Camp Quality back in 1997 when she became a 'companion' with the south coast region. Since joining she has got great satisfaction out of helping people not so fortunate as herself. David has recently become involved with the abseiling activities that take place at each holiday camp. |
