| Wendy spent Christmas with Ed's family in Ohio. We were opening presents and when we were almost all finished Ed said, "I didn't have time to wrap your present, so here it is. I made you a scrapbook." Wendy started to look through the book - which starts with the day we started dating and goes month by month until December. Ed kept telling Wendy to hurry up because everyone was "waiting on her." Wendy was clueless (note: a couple weeks ago she brought up getting married and he basically said he wasn't ready and changed the subject - little did she know he already had the ring). So Wendy said that no one had to wait for her, they could all go get snacks and wine, but she wanted to look through the scrapbook. Finally she got to the last page where Ed described going to pick out the ring. It dawned on Wendy what was happening and she turned to look at him. He pulled out the ring and started to cry, so she started to cry. They hugged and Ed whispered his proposal in her ear, to which she promptly said yes! |
