a bathing ape X adidas super ape star

*Note:This few pages were originally produced on my personal blog pages. The reason for the change is that I felt that it would be better to separate them out as a free-standing web page so that it won't interfere with the flow of the blog. That, and the fact that i was having problems hosting pics... LOL

The reason for this page was that I was pretty pissed to see fakes of the adidas bathing ape kicks on ebay. Now, in case u don't know, each of the original designs is limited to about 500 pairs worldwide. They're pretty rare stuff and these fakes are spoiling the beauty of it!

Here's the thing about fakes, while the bootleggers try their best to manufacture the shoe as close to the real thing as best as possible, they do leave some clues to show that they are fakes (whether its for legal reasons or whatever, i have no idea)
From the pics of the lows, these are what i can pick out to show they're FAKES:
1) The Ape keychain is on the LEFT shoe, attached with nylon fishing line.
2) There are only 2 pairs of laces, and usually with the white monogram one laced on the shoe.
3) The tongue has a slight variation in color, whether it be the leather tone or the print tone.Fakes usually have blue ape-head print instead of black.
4) The heel tab is overly large.
5) The paper wrapper is printed on glossy paper, the box camo print is not as clear.

I believe the few pics above will show what i just pointed out above.
- The plain white lace is already laced onto the shoe when fresh out of the box
- Total of 4 laces, including the additional 3 camo/monogram ones
- Keychain is on the RIGHT shoe, with a metal Chain attached to the top lace hole
- Tongue color is consistent
- Heel tab is proportional
- Tongue print should read "super ape star" and is black in color
- Wrapper is sort of like tracing paper, semi-translucent

Also please note that they only come in US half sizes or UK whole sizes, for example US8.5 will be UK8. If you spot a US8/UK7.5, its a fake.
