Heres the coverage on the ape skate high
pictures of FAKE super ape skate high:

Some of the noticable "flaws":
1) Ape keychain on LEFT shoe, with nylon fishing line
2) "bulkier" look of the shoe (from view 2) and a slightly thicker tongue
3) White monogram lace laced on the shoe

Now, here's the pics of the REAL shoes:

I only have the pics of the black/blue ape skates at the moment, but as with the lows, u can see that
1) keychain should be on the RIGHT shoe, with chain on the top lace hole,
2) white laces should be laced up, if its a new deadstock pair,
3) TOTAL of 4 laces including the white on the shoe,
4) the tongue print should read "super ape skate".

I have seen before fakes of the snakeskin pair as well, so it means that no design is spared!
I do not know if i've done the right thing in posting the faults of the fakes, as it means that they may improve on them and make it hard to differentiate (as with the nike Air Force 1's and Dunks). But when you see the shoes on ebay and are pondering whether to snap them up, think through:
1) If its too good a deal to be true, it usually is. While less-popular sizes (the bapes go from uk5 to uk11 if i'm not wrong) are relatively cheap, the rarity of them ensures that a deadstock pair won't go below retail (the lows retailed at about USD$175, highs at about USD$225)
2) Both models only come in US half sizes, or UK whole sizes. For example, US8.5 or UK8. If you spot a size like US8/UK7.5, its a fake.
3) Look thru the seller's feedback for credibility
4) Seller's country of origin - now, i'm not trying to be bias or racist here, but most fakes come from China and Hong Kong, but that DOES NOT mean they ALL sell fakes! However most times the seller tries to DUPE the bidders by saying they get their kicks (usually a whole load of very "rare" and hard to get kicks) from overseas, or by selling in different currencies (UK sterling pound from HK sellers is the latest trend, as well as HKers denoting that their country of origin is Canada, probably due to having relatives or contacts over there).

Ok, i guess thats about it that i've to say... hope it helps in letting u choose the right pair to get. Fakes may be well-made, and have the nicest looking materials that u like, but that doesn't mean its the right thing to do, let the designers of the original shoes get their due credit.
