Chiangmai Adventist Academy
Welcome to Chiangmai Adventist Academy. This is the school which many of the sponsored children are studying. It is a mission school funded by the church. As of March 2006, there were about 500 students; of which one third of them were at elementary school level. Compare to many government schools in Thailand, CAA provides better facilities to help students to learn. Another strength of the school is students are taught English language. I find students who graduated from CAA generally speaks better English language.

| Christian education is another emphasis of the school. The aim of the school is not just to mould students to be useful and beneficial people to society, but also to equip one to serve God and be the light of the world. As such, bible studies are part of the school curriculum. Students are encouraged to attend chapel worship as well. The new chapel was completed in March 2004. | Do you notice that the age between students can defer quite a lot? This is due to many children could not afford to be sent to school due to financial situation. Therefore some started school late. It is better late than never. That's how EOP sponsorship comes in to assist students from very low income families. |
Many students lived far away from the school. So, they lived in the dormitories. New dormitories are being built to cater for expansion of the school by May 2004. The old dormitories will be converted to classrooms. With new dormitories, it is also hope to improve the security. All the new dormitories are grouped within the same compound so that they can be fenced up for better security. Beware! Drug traffickers are always prowling nearby, ready to devour the boys and girls like a hungry lion.

Chiangmai Adventist Academy provides conducive environement for learning and growing. It may not have the best school facilities compared to developed countries, like Singapore, but it provides the loving environment for children to grow physically, mentally and spiritually to become a useful person in society.
