RIGGING
This part of the web page is still under CONSTRUCTION and will be modified as the boat is tested. This is an experimental sail rig for this hull and will need to be modified as time goes by. It is a GAFF RIG instead of a LATEEN and this means a complete change in the rig.
The first thing I did was to add 1" to the bottom board of the mast and dagger board box to give the mast a little rake to the stern, this is necessary with the Gaff Rig. Next,
, one side stay was added to each side to stabilize the mast, this ment adding chain plates to each side.

We had a little wind when this was taken and it shows the beauty of the Head Sail. A club foot has been added at this point and gives the Head Sail a better shape and makes it easier to handle going up wind.
This is a member of my crew Rachel Fleming. Her help has been invaluable in the construction of the boat.
Both the Main sail and the Head sail are unfurled waiting for some nonexistent wind to carry her to exotic dreams
