The Dream Approaches

This work derives its title from the Dali painting of the same name. While I have not tried to musically create this painting as such, I have tried to create the feel of vast space seen in much of his work. The metaphor of a dream is used as a means of developing the piece – the opening represents waking life, and the subsequent sections combine these elements and expand upon them as a dream does with events in real life.
