5th May 00' - 8th May 00' - Post exam vacation at Tofino

Er… This is not really a "pictorial assignment". Instead, this is just a series of "travelling photographs". I went to the hot spring with my friends: Elroy, Kevin, Sbug, Ah B, and Sarah after the god damn exam. Even though I had known that I failed a course in the final exam before I went to there, the island is too beautiful to make me forget all the unhappiness. I just kept taking pictures in the island. Sometimes, digital camera can really do the trick. I don't used to risk my film. Now with the DC, I can try something as risky as it could. The result can be really amazing.

This picture looks like the one you can find in the tourism guide. However, it's still an attractive one to everybody.

Steam comes up from the stream; the sun beam goes through the steam... Can anything better than this?

My favourite kind of waterfall picture. Thanks to the sunset light, dye the pictures into a beautiful golden tone.

So bad that this picture don't have enough resolution to show the ocean at the background. Boy, I miss the sound of tide.

Comment from my friend: "What a postcard picture!" Yea, so what? I like the blue sky and that's good enough for me.

P.S.

You may find that the digital pictures become more dominant than before. It's because I can't really get a satisfactory effect through my scanner. When the digital camera (DC) can provide some really good looking jpeg files, then why bother about scanning the pictures with poor quality? Man, I really want to get a film scanner now…

Elroy and Kevin get their DCs too! Welcome to the DC family! Same as other DC users, they just use it all day long. Well, DC is quite handy in travelling, you just always get the sure shots. Besides, we can really forget about the printing cost of the pictures. A… I forgot to mention that you should have ensured your supply of batteries and memory cards, ha!

Digital pictures are taken with Fuji MX 2900, process in photoshop. Conventional pictures are taken with EOS 50e, Tamron 28mm-200mm, print with Kodak Proimage 100. Info as listed on the pictures.
