Pictorial Assignment 5:

4th June 00' - June4 Demonstration of Vancouver.

It is a funny feeling to go to the same event on different year, especially when I don't feel like a whole year has passed already. June 4 99' seems like only happened couple months ago. Of course, there are differences, and quite a lot. First of all, I see the children grow up. The one who needed to be carried last year, now he/she able to walk by himself/herself now. Second, there are less people, much less than last year. So what do you say about all these? Are these changes good or bad? No one knows, and will not know until the day when June 4 is resolved. P.S. We have a really nice day compare to the rainy day that we had last year. The sun light allows me to use TMY 100 for this series. The fine grain of TMY 100 simply gives a different feeling in contrast to last year's super grainy pictures (although they are not bad at all).

Other than the strong sunlight, I also benefit from the sharpness of the 70-200mm f2.8 lens too. After a year of practice, I can now handle this lens quite well. This lens gives me the fast shutter speed to work in the sunset and gives me the power to exclude the background from my main object. As you can see in those f2.8 pix.

B&W pictures were taken by Canon Eos 50e with 70mm-200mm f2.8 on Kodak TMAX 100 film. Print on Kodak Polymax RC paper. Colour pictures were taken by Canon Eos 100 with 28mm-200mm f3.5-5.6 on Kodak Proimage 100 film. Touch up by Adobe Photo Shop 5.0.
