Sept 15 & Sept 29, 2002
We gathered at my house and had two group rides in my "backyard".   Drew and Daren have admitted to me  they had a sweet time.   Their only experinece on the YSR  before were street roads.  I think they have a whole new outlook on riding.  It was Drew's first outing on the 29th and had  a few offs on the side with no bad outcomes.  I think he was target fixating on this one crazy "hairpin" turn.  I think the 2nd time out he will be more comfortable on his bike.  I know cause at Daren's 2nd outing he was blazing through the corners.
Oct 6th, 2002
We met at Prairie City on Sunday, Oct 6th.  It was the 2nd to the lst race of GSMMRRA.  I had a blast and took 3rd place out of 17 entries  in Novice Supersort.  Daren came out with his brother Dean for support. (thanks).  Hey for those who want to increase your street riding skills, I suggest take it out on a nice safe place like the track!  Come to the last race scheduled on Oct 26th & 27th.
BAYSR - Past rides.......
Sunday Oct 20th.
Daren and I hit the same roads and went off a different route on Marsh Creek Rd called
Morgan Territory. It was cool until we started to hit really poorly (which seemed like 1 1/2 lane wide) surfaced asphalt.  We turned around because to get to the fun stuff seemed like forever.  Look at the link and we'll try it again (hopefully before it rains)
Oct 27, 2002 Prairie City Raceway.  Race 10...the last race of the season. [snif]
and yes I binned this bike once.  Read more about it click here!
Sunday Nov 17th. Daren, Chris (NSRDog) and I hit the same roads again.  Even though the rainy season is upon us, the motorcycle gods blessed us with sun and 68 degree weather.  My bike again was the rat of the pack as Chris's NSR50 oozed with cool and paint you can eat off of.  We encountered a few automobiles as we strafed apexes and hit 60 miles per hour on downhill sweepers.  I had to back off so my wheels wouldn't outspin the engine.   Cornerspeed is key with the little HP these little monsters give out.   I let Daren take lead and he showed vast improvement from our previous outings.  I'm going to have to swap out the superbike engine and put it on my titled bike just to keep up.  Chris had a blast and I made sure tos top before we hit the hairpin.  I didn't want another Drew episode.  BTW Drew where are you?  Hope you come ride with us again.
