Introduction

It is often enough that we hear that recycling is something we should do as often as humanly possible. We all see the stories of what waste can do: dump sites are getting bigger, animals are choking on the things we leave around, and our ozone is constantly being affected by all the waste we leave behind in the form of paper, plastic, glass, or aluminum. What if those aren't the only things we have to worry about? It is quite a bit more complex than it seems. Most things we use daily can be reused or recycled. The thing is that most people don't think our more common objects are actually things that could be killing us- physically and personally. What could possibly affect us in those two specific areas AND be recyclable? The answer may surprise you: who actually stops to think that our cell phones, TVs, computers, and other tech thingamabobs could be harming us if we don't properly dispose of them?

Who knew our electronics could be killing us?
