The Aulos Duo


Eileen Yu Flutist Eileen Yu has performed frequently with such groups as the Artpark Theatre Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Greater Buffalo Opera Company, and at Shea's Performing Arts Center. She is also the flutist for the Niagara Winds and has appeared as a soloist with various area groups. Mrs. Yu was a student of Robert Dick and Ruth Freeman and has coached with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker, Samuel Baron and Thomas Nyfenger. She currently teaches Instrumental Music in the Kenmore/Town of Tonawanda School District and maintains a private studio.
Leah Peer Pianist Leah Peer received her undergraduate training in Israel with pianist Pnina Saltzman. She also was coached by Claude Frank, Menachem Pressler and Lili Kraus. She completed her Master of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, under the guidance of Rebecca Penneys. Ms. Peer then went on to complete three years as a Ph.D. candidate in Music Theory studies at SUNY Buffalo. She has performed for many years in the US and in Israel as a soloist, chamber performer and orchestra pianist. In addition to her work with the Aulos Duo, Ms. Peer continues to perform chamber music and is the Music and Choral Director of the Kadimah School of Buffalo.
