| WHAT IS CHI ALPHA? We are a movement of college students earnestly following Jesus and seeking to tell others the good news about Him. Affiliated with the Assemblies of God, we encourage anyone to fellowship with us. WHAT DOES CHI ALPHA BELIEVE? Here is a statement of beliefs from Pentecostal Evangel Magazine: The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. There is only one God, eternally existant in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. [We believe] in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. [We believe] in the blessed hope--the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. [We believe] in water baptism by immersion. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to belivers who ask for it. [We believe] in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. [We believe] in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. WHAT IS CHI ALPHA LIKE? We meet weekly on campus for a short Bible study. During these informal gatherings, we worship God, study scripture, pray, and fellowship. Our desire is to be refreshed and empowered from the meetings to face the challenges of the upcoming week. WHAT MAKES CHI ALPHA DIFFERENT? We are focused on transforming our world, locally and around the globe. We work hard to learn from and join with international students. We see that faith and thinking are related. WHAT DOES THE NAME CHI ALPHA MEAN? Christou Apostoloi The Greek letters Chi (x) and Alpha (a) are the initials of a phrase written by the Apostle Paul in the Bible. Translated it means "Christ's sent ones". The name is a reminder that we should live to reflect Jesus and seek to share His message with the world. |

| Jesus Loves You! Here's how to let Him into your life: First, you must recognize that you are a sinner. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Then, you must understand the penalty for sin and the provision God has made for you. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Next, believe that Christ died in your place, so that He can take your penalty on Himself. "But God demonstrated his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Confess the things you have done wrong, to God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1John 1:9). Believe that Jesus is the only way to reach God and be forgiven for your sins. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Once you belive who Jesus is, and that God raised Him from the dead, you can accept God's forgivenness for your sins. "That [if] you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Seek fellowship with other believers and read your Bible to strengthen your faith. |
