I've had an idea. With the world cup coming up it's hard to have ECS ignore it completely so I've decided to hold our very own world cup dream team where every member can take part with their very own dream eleven. First place at the end of the World Cup (member with most points) will win £15,000,000 to be injected into their transfer budget. Second get £10,000,000 and third place gets £5,000,000. But there's one catch...I'll be taking part too.
The rules will be similar to that of the Sun newspaper. There are set prices for all the players from each position from all 32 teams. You can only choose between two formations. 4-3-3 or the ever popular 4-4-2. You can only choose up to a maximum of two players per country.
The points system will be slightly different than the Sun. Yellow cards will not deduct points whereas reds will (10 points). Goalkeepers will earn your team 15 points for each clean sheet. It's hardly likely, but if your 'keeper was to score he'd earn your team a huge 30 points. Defenders will also earn you 15 points for each clean sheet and 20 points for each goal. I will find a way of including points for assists from midfieler's, but it will be difficult tracking all of that, but they will earn a total of 10 for each goal they score. Strikers will only give you points for goals. For each goal they'll earn you 5 points.
Below is not every last World Cup player, but there are a few from each team's position to choose from along with their price. The prices are the same as selected in the Sun newspaper. You have a total of £50m to spend, but you're not allowed to go one penny over so spend plenty of time choosing your team and send me your final eleven players BY E-MAIL so no one else can see your selection.
This page has all the Goalkeepers there are available to choose from. On your left you will see a small set of links taking you to the information of all players from the other positions that you can select.
