Activities you can outsource

Many businesses now outsource many of their non-strategic activities or more complex tasks in order to access industry best practice and cutting-edge technology.

This enables the business to benefit from the outsourcing company's economies of scale and investment in highly trained staff while it concentrates on core business activities.

Processes you could consider outsourcing include:

IT functions - you can outsource most IT functions, from network management to project work, website development and data warehousing(data entry). You may benefit from the latest technology and software upgrades without having to invest in expensive systems or keep up with industry trends.

Business processes and HR - outsourcing activities such as customer support, recruitment, payroll and secretarial services gives you access to specialist skills, but you only pay when you need to use them.

Finance - you already outsource auditing, so why not do the same with your entire accounting function, including bookkeeping, tax management and invoicing?

Sales and marketing - many organisations use a consultant or an agency to handle marketing communications. Smaller businesses, or those in specialised markets, can also outsource sales to specialist agencies.

Health and safety - there are consultants who specialise in health and safety compliance tasks. They may be able to ensure you meet all the requirements, including those for complex risks, more cost-effectively than you can.

What is Outsourcing?

Outsourcing is an arrangement in which one company provides services for another company that could also be or usually have been provided in-house.
Outsourcing is a trend that is becoming more common in information technology and other industries for services that have usually been regarded as intrinsic to managing a business.
In some cases, the entire information management of a company is outsourced, including planning and business analysis as well as the installation, management, and servicing of the network and workstations.

Outsourcing Ideas for Small and Medium Sized Businesses

Offshore outsourcing has traditionally been the domain of large multinational businesses who have the ability to enter into foreign markets and capitalise on the particular countries compeititive advantage.
The growth of the internet has reduced this barrier of entry for every small and medium sized business.

Small and medium sized enterprises can now enter these markets and use the same leverage previously only available to global companies. Unfortunately, many businesses still see outsourcing as a 'high risk' activity fraught with new, complex challenges. The reality is that outsourcing, for the majority of businesses, could be the the smartest move they make.

Why?

Cost Savings - Many businesses are constantly thinking of ways to reduce expenditure and boost profitability. Hiring an offshore staff member who works online (exactly the same as a work at home employee) can save a business up to 70% on annual wage expenses. This is often the fastest and easiest way any business can increase it's bottom line.

No Capital Expenditure – many businesses cannot afford to invest in additional office space or IT infrastructure. It often takes years to get a return on investment. Offshore outsourcing means you can leverage up safely, gradually increasing your staff without the need for large and under-performing capital investment.

Risk Mitigation – some businesses need to ramp up fast to meet deadlines, increased sales or unpredictable growth patterns. They want to hire new staff fast without worry. Can they afford to have them on if things do not turn out as planned? Reduce your risk exposure with outsourcing – no long-term contracts, training or termination costs.

There are 2 ways of outsourcing

A. Online staffing
We set a standard time zone according to oversea working hours, in order to make direct online correspondence with overseas staffs and department related to case of customers dealing.

B. Oversea staffing
We work with oversea companies based on the nature of work outsourced, develop the strategy to identify its business case for outsourcing, negotiate to evaluate potential service providers and then setup a department with local resources.

Successful management
The oversea company will set up proper executive-level support for the outsourcing project with management provider.
It should also have ongoing communication with both the outsource management provider(OMP) and in-house departments and personnel involved.
It is also important to manage the bond relationship with OMP and oversea company along the right track to retaining efficient result of staff training and supervision. And last but not the least, both should allow for flexibility to accommodate changing business needs.
