February
2/1-Today, I slept until noon, ate at Texadelphia with Ellen, and went to Eckerd. I also did laundry and watched the Super Bowl. I was a little disappointed with the commercials and with the half-time show. They weren't as good as I remember them being in the past. I have aerobics in the morning. I'm preparig to be sore from it for the rest of the week. I hate Mondays.
2/2-Aerobics this morning was great. I forgot how much I liked working out. For the rest of the day I read and slept. I've had a pretty uneventful day.
2/3-I was in class in the business school today, and people walked by the classroom and said that the building was being evacuated because of a fire alarm somewhere in the building that we couldn't hear. We stood outside in the cold for 20 minutes with the fire truck, but there was no fire. That was rather strange. Other than that, nothing interesting happened today.
2/4-Not much happened today. I have my first test of the semester tomorrow. It's in business communication. I really should be studying right now. Oh well. My mom called me today about looking for a house to buy for me here. A friend of ours here who is a real estate agent is going to start looking. My problem is that I don't know if this buying me a place thing is definite, and I don't have a roommate for next year (whether I buy something or rent something). I have to study. I'll think about all this later.
2/5-I had a test today. I think it went pretty well. Ellen and I went and watched 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' at the free theatre on campus. It was really good. Johnny Depp definitely stole the show. That's about all that happened today.
2/6-I didn't have class today, so I slept until noon. Then, I ate, went shopping, and watched a movie with Ellen. Now, it's midnight and I am back in my room with nothing to do. Yay. Oh, I did make an A on my test yesterday. I was pretty happy about that.
2/7-I slept until noon again today. I need to stop doing that. Me and Ellen went to Texadelphia, The Cadeau, Coop for Women, Barnes and Noble, and Target today. That kind of tired me out, so I spent the rest of the evening in my room finishing my novel for history. It was actually pretty good. I can't believe I read the whole thing!!
2/8-I went to church this morning with Walker. Then, I filled out the application to join the Texas Angels, a football spirit group. I may not get in because I'm up against a lot of people and I don't think they are taking many. Oh well. At least I will know I tried. I slept the evening away, and then washed clothes and did homework.
2/9-I turned in my application for the Angels today. I have to go to a mixer with them on the 17th. I would really like to get in. I think it would be a lot of fun. I get to go home this weekend. I have to take family portraits and then go to the dinner theatre at church. Me and Heather are also going to do something. We're just not sure what yet. I just have to get through this week. I have a government test on Thursday. I'm kinda worried about it. I really should start studying, but I prefer to cram it all in at the last minute. Why do I do this to myself?
2/10-Today was really freakin' long, but I got a lot done, so it's all good. I'm counting down the days until I get to leave, and go home. I have a government test first though. My birthday is also coming up. It's in 22 days. I'm hoping I'll have people to celebrate with! I've been trying to figure out what I want to do over Spring Break. My sister and dad will have school and work, so it'll just be me and my mom. She suggested Las Vegas, but I don't know how much I'll be able to do since I'm not 21. She also mentioned a few other places, but Vegas sounded the best. I don't know what we'll end up doing. I am also on a roommate hunt. My parents are going to buy me a condo or something here, and I need someone to live with me. If you know of someone who is looking for a place to stay next year please let me know.
2/11-Well, my test is tomorrow. I feel totally unprepared for it, but that's my own fault. Today, Ellen asked Kim if she knew of someone who needed a roommate next year. She said that she might need a roommate. It depends on if she and the the two other girls she was planning on living with can agree on a place. I find it funny that I'm looking for someone to live with, yet I don't actually have a place to live. Hopefully it'll all work out.
2/12-Fourteen hours and counting until I get to go home. I want go home so I don't have to worry about school work this weekend. But now that I think about it, I'm going to have to anway. I have to interview Scott Adams for my business communications project. It should only take about an hour though. I had my government test today. It actually wasn't that bad. I did minimal BSing and I really knew what I was talking about on most of it. I was pleasantly surprised. Anyway, this weekend I'm going to try not to think about how horrible next week is going to be. I'm already dreading it.
2/15-Going home was ok. We took family portraits and went to the dinner theatre at church. They both went fine. Me, Heather, and Caleb went bowling on Saturday night too. I'm amazed to say that I won the last game, but I won't mention the score I won with! It was sad, but very fun. My parents are coming to Austin in two weeks to help me look for a condo. That should be interesting to say the least. This week starts two very stressful, busy weeks for me. I have so much to do. I'm not looking forward to it at all. Oh, I forgot to mention that about an hour after me and Ellen left for Cleveland on Friday it started snowing in Austin!! Doesn't that freakin' figure. We had to put up with the cold while we were here, but we missed the snow.
2/16-I didn't do much but study and read today. Jessy is supposed to be coming to Austin this weekend. I'm glad someone is finally coming to see us!! I have the Angels mixer tomorrow. I hope it goes ok.
2/17-The mixer went pretty well. Now, I just have to wait to see if I get to advance to the interview stage. I have an economics test on Thursday. I'm trying to procrastinate, but I've got to study a lot tomorrow. I hate economics!! At least I'll be done with it after this semester. I think that's all that happened today.
2/18-Today has been a weird day. I'm not exactly sure why though. Well, I guess part of it was the live band in the dining hall. I know that Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, but that is pushing it. I know there was more weird stuff, but I have already forgotten what it was. I have an economics test tomorrow. I am going to have to study a lot tonight. Well, I better get started.
2/19-Failed test. Broken computer. Bad day.
2/20-Happy Birthday Heather!! Today was my first day without a computer. I absolutely hate it. Ellen and I went to Target. Unfortunately we went during rush hour, so it took awhile. Nothing else happened today.
2/21-Jessy came to Austin today. We took him to Texadelphia, went to Kim's apartment to say hi, and then went to show him apartments he might want to live in next year. He found one he really liked. Its very nice, and cheap. My birthday is coming up, but I'm too focused on my tests and presentations coming up to care too much. It's quite sad.
2/22-I went to church this morning and worked on and finished the presentation I have to give on Tuesday for Business Communications. Tomorrow is going to be devoted to studying for the history test I have on Tuesday. Overall, it's been a boring day, and to make it worse it was really ugly outside.
2/23-My computer situation is getting worse. I don't feel like explaining it though. I have a history test tomorrow, and I have to make a presentation for business communication. I'm not worried about the presentation, but I've been studying all day for my history test. I hope I do ok.
2/24-My test and presentation both went fine, so this week is all downhill from here. I just looked through 128 listings for condos. I need to have an idea of what I want before I go looking with my family and Becky, our Realtor, on Saturday. I'm managing to cope without my computer. I've been using Ellen's every night. It just occured to me that my birthday is a week from tomorrow. I think I'll forget if someone doesn't remind the day of.
The rest of February...
